A friend of mine was speeding and rearended some one who suddenly slammed on his brakes on the freeway. The man that received the impact died on the scene. Initially, he wasn't charged with anything, but six months later, (which is now), He is being charged with manslaughter. What are his options and what is he facing?

the police motto shouldn't be "Protect and Serve". What a joke that is!!! Instead, the motto should be "Do as I say, not as I do." We all know why that would be a much better motto.

Say a local swimming pool is violating safety regulations, and the pool/park administrators aren't doing anything about the problem. Is there generally a state agency that could be contacted to investigate something like this, and if so, what would it be?

thanks.

that if you do not receive notification of exceeding the speed limit within a 14 day period that you cannot receive fixed penalty points or a fine...?
I was in the car with my brother.. we were chatting away and then realised he was going 35mph in a 30mph country lane zone. It's highly possible he will receivepoints as a friend of mine got them for going 32 mph in a 30mph area!
If the above isn't true about the 14 day notification period .... any legal experts out there?

no not everyone that hates police are 'criminals". most people i know that hate cops arent "criminals" and have never been arrested, myself included. its their lack of respect that makes law biding citizens hate them.

I've got a lot of money riding on this answer. I won't bias you, but let's just say that I'd be sorry to hear that my thoughts are not the ones that are the ones that are right.
