Someone tryed to break into my car and all of the cars in the parking lot. They popped the lock out of the trunk. We reported it to the cops and all they said was "we can't do anything about it"
What a crock.

No I haven't but when your car is stolen you must immediately call the police department in your area. They will come out or tell you to come to the department and take a report give them a good description even down to bumper stickers. Make sure you have the license plate number. Then they put it into NIX which is Nation wide (every state) so when it's pulled over for a traffic violation it will pop up on the screen letting the officer no it is stolen and approach with caution. Also an ALT is put out on the vehicle immediately for your area. You have to remember that not all stolen cars are found and especially not right away, but the most important thing to remember is to report it as soon as you discover your car is missing.

I have never had a car stolen, however, my van was robbed. Some one took about $1800 worth of tools. I reported it to the police. Made an inventory . That was the end of it. Now the real question is why were they stolen in the first place? OH I know so the thief could use them in the workplace. If you believe that one you also believe in the tooth fairy. Hell no they were stolen so some little chicken **** could take them to the Born again Christian"s pawn shop who bought them for $50.00 so he or she could get high and get their cookies. Mean while Mr. Born again can give someone a good deal and sell them for $5-700.00.
This transaction helps Jesus because He gets 10%. The off duty police benefit because they can work in the pawnshop part time and supplement the low pay they get. Mr. Born again gets rich. Praise God every one wins. Except me, who would not buy anything and I do mean anything from a pawn shop. Oh yes, I almost forgot. The thief's loose also because it enables them to get dope.

I had my car stolen twice. The same car ( I found it the first time) and it was stolen exactly a year to the day it was stolen the year prior.

The p.d. found it after I reported it but never told me. My neighbor who worked for the local impound told me they had brought my car into the yard the day after I reported it stolen. I called the p.d. and confirmed that it had indeed been found and that the p.d. had known about it. I told them they should eat the impound fee as they FAILED to inform me that it was found.

After a few phone calls I finally said fcuk it. It wasn't worth the hassle. I never picked up the car and signed the title over to the impound. It was an older Toyota Corolla SR5 that I purchased as a pet project.

I didn't put too much money into it thus far so it didn't matter to me.

I'll tell you what though, I had never felt more violated in my life. For someone to actually take something of mine was rather painful.

Yes I had a car stolen years ago and reported it to the police, no I do not trust them to help me at all. As a matter of fact me and my girlfriend drove ago and after my sister said she saw my car and we found it and called and notified the police only because I did not want to be arrested driving my own car.
