i know someone who is a 3 or 4 time convicted felon and his last charge he served 3 and a half years on an 8 year sentance and got out and is on probation. well i guess he has violated his probation by not paying his fines and goes to court over it this month. it is the first time he has violated on this charge, and since it is probation from prison, what do u think will happen?? what do u think the chances are that he will go back to prison??

Sounds like your friend may go back to prison. If he has not paid his probation fees, then more than likely he was not reporting. If that is the case, then his probation will probably be revoked. By the way, it does not appear as if this person is interested in getting his life together, so in my opinion, he probably does need to go back to prison.

It sounds like he should be in prison since he is unable to follow the rules.

It depends on how large the fines were and why he missed paying them. Some judges just throw away the key, others listen to mitigating circumstances.

Pretty good, as he has a track record of being anti-social.
