Certainly. A bar is a business and they can decide who they want to do business with, as long as they do not discriminate on the basis of race, sex or other prohibited category.

In my early twenties, I worked at a club that held 3000 people. It would get filled up just an hour or so after the doors opened. There would be a line of people down the block all night long. We would play games at the front door like..... Choose a color and anyone wearing that color wouldn't get in..... Or tell someone that they couldn't come in because I didn't like their shoes.... As long as we didn't single people out because of their skin color, sex, age (as long as they were 21+) or religion, we could do what ever we wanted.

Bar or restaurant owners have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

Sorry, but you will have to find another pub for your drinking pleasure.

Yes, it's legal. Business always reserve the right to refuse whomever they so please. If you feel you civil rights have been violated or undue discrimation is at play, which is what this sounds like, you can always sue them in civil court.

yes. they can refuse service to anybody, provided it's not a "protected class." You'd have a really really tough time winning any kind of discrimination suit.
