Daughter had bathing suit top taken off against her will in a public place. Not as a joke, even if it was it isn't funny. Many had conspired to make the boys do this. My daughter ran away covering breasts in tears. Please help me with legal terminology that I can present to parents of kids responsible.

The police are supposed to reduce crime, fear and intimidation yet when innocent people are questioned they feel intimidated by their officious nature. Why is that?

I have a cousin who is in jail awaiting indictment...he will not be indicted until October. His other family members have turned their backs on him, which breaks my heart. I feel led to try and help him in some way. My husband will not let me put up the money for bond...does anyone know of any groups that provide any sort of assistance in these matters?

He has made a mistake...and was arrested for good reason, however, they are trumping up the charges and trying to make organized crime charges stick. So far, they have not been able to get it to hold water, but they are sure trying. He is needing $5400 to bond out.

Blessings,
Jen

My brother was coming out of his at walmart when he was driving home he notices police following him so he keeps on driving not speeding and makes a left turn to park in front of my house and that when the cops turn on the lights when they see him parking. They say he was going 60 mph on a 30mph so he gets a ticket for that.

First the ticket says 30mph street but its 40mph street.

Second they dont stop him till he parks front of our house.(if someone is speeding why let him drive another mile before you stop him?)

Third he got the ticket and they want to charge him $800 for the suppossely violation.

I really dont think the officers knew what they were doing and thought he did something wrong by parking trying to avoid them but not knowing he did park in front of his house.

what you guys think? any help much appreciated

During labor unrest, many large corporations turned to private police agencies to quell the unrest. Would these methods be accepted in today's society?

my ex (who has been to prison twice) is trying to get 50% custody of my daughter. he never paid attention to her while we were together, but has now taken an interest in her. he has never even supported her! during the relationship, i tried to get out. he was manipulative, and had even made threats to beat me if i cheated on him. (he also made threats to kill some friends of mine) i have made it known, to the court, that he had been emotionally abusive to me. I had no idea that emotional abuse was considered domestic violence. It turns out that one of his old girlfriends wrote a declaration stating that he had hit her while she was pregnant and that she did not want him around her and her unborn child. there are also other violent crimes, in his record, against women. i want to know if the judge, at our next hearing, is likely to give this man supervised visits with my daughter. i don't think they should be unsupervised

Wow! all of you have been very helpful and I would still love to hear from others. He has actually already taken me to court and his ex (the one he hit) is now on his side, they are back together. She states (in a declration) that he is a good father who supports his son (with her). what do you think the court will say? it was only 3 years ago that she was trying to get a restraining order, against him, for her and her unborn child, because he hit her.

should they adopt the U.S zero tolorrence aproach. joyriders (who get caught) over here usually receive a (small) fine and a stupid short (sometimes suspended) sentence. courts won't even try them for attempted murder if they (joyriders) tried to mow down people on the streets!

I've been in the hospital for mental health reasons 9 times and I have a pretty long history of mental health issues. I've heard that if you've had these problems, that you will never be able to get a license for or own a gun. Does anyone know the true laws about this?
