yes, you can, but it costs a lot more. And they may just turn you down and throw you in Jail. It costs thousands of dollars usually to do it instead of hundreds or less than a hundred like in Latin America.

I was always pretty offended and made sure to write them the most tickets I possibly could.
My DH was offered sex in exchange for no ticket by a hispanic woman. When he turned her down, she offered sex with her brother! lol
I know there are cops on the take.... given the sheer number of police officers, statistically there have to be. But I have never known an officer I suspected of taking bribes.

First its against the law and you can be charged. Just take your ticket and sleep well knowing you don't live in Mexico or Latin America with dishonest cops.

Of course - everyone has their price. But generally in the U.S., regular policemen cannot be bribed. They would take you in and it would go on their performance record, which later leads to promotions (more money). Policemen that are involved in bribery, are usually wrapped up in high profile cases involving drugs or theft or murder.
It would be cheaper for you to just pay the ticket.

There are corrupt officials in every country I'm sure, and people have bribed US police officers before, but I wouldn't count on it working, and it could get you into a lot of trouble.
Why do you need to know anyway? Either don't do anything illegal or don't get caught.

No the USA is not as corrupt at the local level such as cops only high up such as Bush. Don't offer any bribe.

the problem with USA police is they based they work on PRIDE
most of those police officer are paid enough to be comfortable.
so the briding cost would be higher
something they can't afford
such as housing

Some cops can be bought in the U.S. just like in any other country but here it will cost you a lot more

it isnt a common practice and frowned apon, genearally it will land you in jail, good luck, and make sure your on camera when you do it!
