Pursuit driving is a double edged sword on one hand their are public safety issues. But on the other hand you have the issue that if you allow people who are committing crimes to drive off it will not be long before no one is stopping for the police. As far as using police helicopters they are wonderful tools if your department is big enough to afford one. The bottom line is if you pursue you are putting the public at risk BUT if you don't pursue and allow criminals to drive off haven't you just put the public at risk also? Some food for thought it is not the officer that initiates the pursuit. The officer initiates a traffic stop the criminal by choosing to run initiates the pursuit.

undesirable adult men are stupid. I actually have had 2 hobbies in a months time. Neither undesirable guy were given away. I stuck them and they are searching at severe time. hobbies are not any more some thing law enforcement officials take gently. there's a lot which could bypass incorrect. An probability free will be damage or killed. between the law enforcement officials can meet a similar destiny. those who prefer to run from the police, desire to imagine about the probability they are transforming into. Oh, wait, criminals do no longer imagine about others, in reality them selves.

Well I am just addressing your question.
It is against many departments policies to get involved in high-speed chases with suspects because of the very fact that it endangers the public safety.
The only reason you see it on TV and in the news is because of the very few that dont have the policy.
Many pople dont realize that it is very strict policy not to into dangerous chases such as ones that are shown all the time out in LA and such.

Yes, the cops should chase them. No one ever escapes from a police chase. That is why there are lights and sirens. If people woud simply pay attention (as per the rules of the road) it wouldn't really be an issue.

Neither are most policemen. You're talking about an institution that doesn't work, staffed by people who are totally disgusted with life in general, who have to defer to higher authorities who actually make a mockery of what a policeman is actually supposed to be doing, effectively stymying them.

Because this institution is dysfunctional, when you see most police activity it will have the pronounced characteristic of being a piece of street theatre for mass consumption.

" See, we're DOING something. "

The bad part is that they actually believe people buy into this sort of farcical behaviour.

They should employ thier radios and helicopters like the California Police do, so that they do not put a lot of people in danger. Modernize and quit being a danger to Society.

I wish you well.
