I am 18 and I live in Indiana. I was cited in Tennessee and have to return for a court date. I have never had any other run-ins with the police. The cop said I was probably looking at a stiff fine, but will I get probation too? And how much do you think the fine will be?

you will be given something called P.T.I, which means you will be fined and probation, but you cannot get in trouble for 12 months if you do then the drug charge will come back to you. The fine will be approximately $600.00 if you were pulled over meaning you were driving you will also be given a surcharge of around 125.00 a year for 3 years.
To be exact the fine is as followed.
225.00 for possesion of under 50 grams
175.00 for possesion of paraphenalia
100.00 for safe neighborhood
100.00 court cost
And to be more clearer the probation isnt a probation where you have to go see a probation officer it just means you cannot be caught with any drugs in that years time. Also be forwarned they will do random drug tests..

the fine may be high to teach you a lesson and probation to make sure you stay off the stuff.

I think you should atleast get another joint for the bag Im sure they took when they caught you.
Pot should be legal, but if it was there would be no govt control of it..
I think how the law treats us is the true "reefer madness"

The fine will probably be $100.00 - $200.00.SInce it is your 1st offense,you will probably not get probation.

i'd say $1500.00 and probation/ 30 days which could be suspended.
