You absolutely did the right thing by calling the police....imagine if that was your child, or you out there...people really need to get more involved in these situations, maybe our world wouldn't be so screwed up!!!!!

Heck no!! I would have done the same thing if I were you. You'd think that the kid's parents would call them first. But I think that what's wrong with some people these days, they are losing their sense of survival. Y'know, walking across the street, not looking both ways first, and they are about ten years old. Not even blinking. It frustrates me. Anyway, ranting over. U did the right thing.

You indeed did the right thing by calling the authorities. Those kids need to understand that the streets in your neighborhood aren't their own personal property that they can do whatever they please...not to mention breaking the law & putting your family & property in danger. More people need to take a stand against dumb idiots who have no regard for others. Good for you!

It was justified to call the police. No one wants that kind of activity happening especially since you have a child around. maybe they'll think next time about harassing people

I'd have stayed out of it. Cops are rarely useful, and you may have bought yourself some future trouble with both groups of kids.

You are supposed to call the police when you witness aggravated assault with a weapon, ie; knife & BB Gun.
Failure to call the police is also a crime.
