even after hearing ALL the evidence about how much it helps people in pain, and the fact that its chemically impossible to OD on it. Not to mention the fact that ITS A ******* PLANT!!!!

Thats all it is, its a plant, jesus.

So, I would like to hear a real argument against it from the American people. how is the illiegality of smoking MJ NOT a complete invasion and raping of my personal liberties.

Why shouldn't we just regulate it like Tobacco, you can only buy it if your 18 and its Illegal to give it to a minor.

Name just ONE negative aspect about it that you couldn't find with Smoking or Drinking.

I know that most politicians wont legalize it beacuse there in the pockets of Big Pharm (Cough...Hillary...) and they don't want a cheap affordable easy to grow and effective pain killer cutting into there market.

If its so immoral to smoke Pot, what makes it okay to drink, it impairs you just as much if not more, and smoking causes DAMN CANCER

PS. I have never smoked a joint or a smoke, nor have I ever had a drink in my life. I believe that MJ should be legal simply beacuse people have civil liberties, I personally HATE lazy Potheads, but its there right.

It was only made illegal in 1937 because the people who used it mostly were latin immigrants. No one has ever died from an overdose on it either. Scientists still debate whether it is addictive.

Ok, so I recieved money orders for a company that I was suppose to cash and send them the money. Stupid me, I did, but I didn't cash in my bank account, because I don't have one, I cashed at a check cashing place. Well now I'm getting calls from them telling me it was fake and that they are going to file a police report and they want their money. I don't have the money anymore, otherwise I would give it to them. I had no idea that this was a scam...I don't know what could happen to me? Could I go to jail? Or what? It's my understanding that these check cashing places are suppose to call and verify everything before they cash it...if they had done this in the first place, all this could have been avoided. And please don't berate me for being stupid and doing this, I'm doing a pretty good job of that myself. Call it being naive. Any Lawyers out there that can tell me what can happen?

i work for a manufacturing company...usually, i don't care how well a person speaks English...but i need technical help on a very time sensitive program, and i need someone that speaks "perfect English", in the sense that English is their primary language, and at least understand the words i speak...So that i don't have to explain what i mean when i use standard American English or slang, and so that i can understand the other person easily when they talk

is this legally acceptable? i don't consider this to be discriminatory, because the capability to speak a language is a skill, and people can be hired and fired based on skills...its not like the job doesn't req language, and i just want an American or anything like that... I just don't have the time to teach someone how to do what i need them to do, while teaching them English...

I DO NOT WANT YOUR MORAL OPINION. I NEED TO KNOW THE LEGAL IMPLICATIONS.

Thanks

My girlfriends parents have decided that they would rather her sit at home in her room and cry night after night, rather than let her spend time with myself and my family. they say they don' t "dislike" me yet they have started making these rules such as...only allowing her to visit me on days that she has to work so that she really has no time to visit me. She made the decision a few weeks ago to leave her house to get away from the immature games that her "adult" parents are playing. They have made threats to her and myself that if she does leave home and come here to stay that she and I both will go to jail. Is there a Law that can cause either of us to be put in jail. Shes 18, shes unhappy and feels unsafe at home so what could either of us get arrested for. I wont be kidnapping her or anything so if anyone can help me with this It would be GREATLY appreciated.

and already completed up to Aug.07. Since the actual work was done here in the Philippines, and only partial payments have been received via Western Union (have receipts) personally from him, WHERE IS THE JURISDICTION OF THIS POTENTIAL CASE?? And, do the 'agreements' in 'cyber-form ' make them legitimate? In other words, can I somehow make a case here in the Philippines since thats where the work was done? (going to the U.S., Arizona- is not possible). The 'employer' has not been answering emails, phone calls, etc. totally for one month now (obviously evading/avoiding). I've comfirned his true address/d.o.b./ and previous garnishment records from the last 2 years on file in public records online, so, there is a pattern. HAS THERE BEEN ESTABLISHED A PRECEDENT FOR 'ONLINE' TYPE DISPUTES ?? PLEASE DIRECT ME TO WHERE/HOW I CAN PRESSURE THIS PERSON TO PAY HIS RESPONSIBILITY.....IS THERE AN ORGANIZATION/GROUP/AGENCY/BUREAU/OMBUDSMAN OR SOME KIND OF VEHICLE THAT HELPS VICTIMS.?

but i need to get back to them.. how do i bring up punitive damages and getting money for it? workmans comp was already filed, and im assuming they said something to the insurance company (AIG).. and they got a hold of me.

what do i do or say on the phone? i have all proof/evidence. (scarring). anything that i could possibly need.

from what im told i can get "up to" 10 x's what my medical reimbursement is?

I was just wondering if my employer had the right to ask why I was going to the doctor? Is it enough to just tell my employer that I'm sick and I'm going to the doctor and I will provide a note if nescessary? Or do I have to actually tell the specific reason why I'm going to the doctor?

The reason I'm asking is because I could have sworn there was a law against it but I can't find anything about it. The reason I think there is a law is because the reason for going to a doctor is very personal and should be kept private. You especially would not want your employer to know if you had an embarassing condition. I know my doctor will not disclose any information without my premission.

I'm not sick right now, but I was just curious. I live in the state of Virginia if that matters.

What are the United States Laws in regards to situations like this? Is it legal for people to carry weapons such as swords and other dangerous weapons on their persons in public? Technically they are not concealed and after doing a brief google search, there was nothing on the subject. Does anyone have any more knowledge?
