The basis of 'selling' what you have to obtain what you need but don't have is trade. Trading what you have in excess for what you need.
This is not always possible since what you have or need may not be locally available. Money is used to transfer the traded goods. You trade your goods or labor for money, then you trade that money for what you need.

Without money, trading could only be done in the very local area.

'Everything free' status in earth will make man lazy. Earth will come to a freeze status without any improvements in any field. It will be more dangerous than nuclear bombs.

Otherwise also ban of money will not happen in earth because if there is money then only there will be black money. It is with this black money many developed/developing nations are surviving. Because money is the only less volumed non-recorded easily transferable wealth, which are hugly required in between the legal transactions between nations and Important Persons are benefited from these illegal transanctions. Legal transanctions are just a semi opeque screen before the public.

Billions of people would starve to death if everything was free. You would have to put a world government in power who would distribute everything equally to make sure that everyone got what they needed; that is basically Communism. Communism hasn't worked on a national basis and it wouldn't work on a worldwide basis. Who would break their back farming for everyone if they aren't going to get anything in return? If I had enough land, I would just provide for my family if I wasn't going to be paid for my services.

Unfortunately, there is not enough of everything for everyone. How do we determine who gets anything then? We trade what we have or our labor for those items. Money is a placeholder for those things. So until the human race produces enough of everything for everyone that wants it, Money will still be needed.

It is one of my long cherished dream to implement all overo the world (at-least for a trial period), but please ask 'should there be ban of coinage system?' is the correct point to think and ponder. The first evil of society is the coinage, and 2nd is the transportation and 3rd is the News Media announcements and advertisments. If these are banned, how harmonious the human life would be!
