even after hearing ALL the evidence about how much it helps people in pain, and the fact that its chemically impossible to OD on it. Not to mention the fact that ITS A ******* PLANT!!!!
Thats all it is, its a plant, jesus.
So, I would like to hear a real argument against it from the American people. how is the illiegality of smoking MJ NOT a complete invasion and raping of my personal liberties.
Why shouldn't we just regulate it like Tobacco, you can only buy it if your 18 and its Illegal to give it to a minor.
Name just ONE negative aspect about it that you couldn't find with Smoking or Drinking.
I know that most politicians wont legalize it beacuse there in the pockets of Big Pharm (Cough...Hillary...) and they don't want a cheap affordable easy to grow and effective pain killer cutting into there market.
If its so immoral to smoke Pot, what makes it okay to drink, it impairs you just as much if not more, and smoking causes DAMN CANCER
PS. I have never smoked a joint or a smoke, nor have I ever had a drink in my life. I believe that MJ should be legal simply beacuse people have civil liberties, I personally HATE lazy Potheads, but its there right.

I wouldn't legalize it if I had an interest in the distribution and sale of larger cash-flow, higher profit items such as cotton or cocaine.

I totally agree with you. I have smoked and I do drink from time to time, but I agree that pot should be regulated like cigarettes and alcohol. They know it's an effective (maybe the most effective) plant for helping people, but they won't legalize it because it IS effective. If they legalize it then they would lose profits on pharmaceuticals they KNOW are more harm than good. If pot is legalized, people will get better. If they get better, the "doctors" lose money and so does the government.
So all in all, what I'm saying is if pot is made legal, the fat f**ks in Washington think they will have smaller wallets, because people will get better and needs less medication.

Smoking & Dipping isn't an issue - it doesn't alter your brain chemistry at all.
I have been drunk numerous times. I have made a complete fool out of myself and made "mistakes" in judgement if you will, while intoxicated.
I have been high once. I got so high infact that I went absolutely crazy. I was paranoid and everything I said I evaluated in my head before I even said it. I felt like I was talking to someone else in my head. I started hysterically crying and it was horrible. I know of course this is not the norm, but I will say it was way worse than any time I have EVER been drunk. Including my sorority crush party where I threw up all night. The body has defense mechanisms for too much alcohol - passing out / throwing up. This is to get your body back to being sober. The body has no defense against Marajuana, no amount of stomach pumping or throwing up with make you "un-high". It's awful.
This is my reason why Marajuana should NOT be legalized. Not to mention it has been labeled gateway drug. Society believes that once you try it, you are more likely to try other drugs. I agree. This is true.
Call me a hypocrite, but this is my answer.

Well I am all for it!!
I do not smoke pot (well not anymore) I did in high school over 20 years ago. But I do not understand either why the government can make a plant illegal, but not plant that we add poison to. I agree with you 100% and will keep checking to see what people write about this subject.

Where is your compassion?
Where are your feelings?
Do have any idea what de-criminalization would do to the price of a lid of weed?
Think of the poor growers?
What would beat cops do when they will not be able to bust a petty dealer and take his cash & stash in order to suppliment his pitiful wage?
What would the DEA do if its funding for its war on weed were removed? [As if the Dem in DC would ever cut funding to anything -- look how long the ICC eat from the money teat!]
Would you want out-of-work DEA agents begging in the streets of LA, NYC, SF, NOLA? Think of the children?
What would jewelries do with the decline in Rolex sales?
Think of the unemployment in the ranks of Lawyer --- who would lose clients?
Think of all the politically connected employed psychology major? (Are there any other kind of employed psych majors?)
Think of the effects on prison employment and what won't be done in the areas of street beautification, since you would have far fewer wealthy brats cleaning toilets in orange suits?
Think of the economic angst you would cause by this heartless action!
How dare you think of individual choice and individual responsibility? Think of the unemployment you would cause

Mhm. they could make pot criminal in each state, as long as human beings are not doing it below the age of 18 (Like cigarettes) it fairly is much less risky then alcohol and nicotine, and has been shown to cut back maximum cancers indications... additionally if the legalize it, the cops might have greater time on their palms to arrest risky crimes, and drug sellers wont be making earnings off of it. Its a win/win subject: the persons are happy- the taxes are decrease - The state has greater spending funds.

Haha just one? I could go on for days bro. But for times sake, I will just give you one example.
Ex: You know how most of America is uneducated today? Well think of a pregnant teenage girl who does weed. Think of how small that baby is. Now think of that uneducated girl going out and smokin the reefer when she doesnt/does know she is pregnant. That baby will come out fuked up and she will feel horrible. Or will she? NO. She will still smoke pot.
Ex: I decided to give you another. Many people in society today wont do pot just because of the fact that it is illegal. If it was legal they would think to themselves "hey, now that its legal I might want to try this because the government says its ok now". Wtf??? Pot causes brain cell damage, and not to mention you become addicted and you have to then go to counseling and you stop focusing on studies, which fukes up your life.
Roll that over in you mind a little. =)

I AM A MOTHER WHO SAW THE CHANGES IN MY CHILD WHILE USEING POT AND IT WAS VERY BAD. HE HAD A VERY BAD TEMPER. NUMBER 1 WHICH GOT HIM INTO JUVY BUT THAT TURNED HIS LIFE AROUND AND NOW HE IS A MILITARY MAN AND IM SO PROUD AND HE DOSNT TOUCH THE STUFF ANYMORE. I THINK IT SHOULD BE PRESCRIBED BY A PERFESSIONAL BECAUSE IT DOES HAVE ITS HELPFUL USES IN SOME CASES SUCH AS CANCER .
I KNOW SOMEONE WHO IS ANOREXIC AND IF SHE WOULD TAKE THIS ALL THE TIME SHE WOULD GAIN WEIGHT
BECAUSE SHE TOLD ME IT DOES MAKE HER WANT TO EAT. AND THAT IS A BREAK THROUGH FOR HER BECAUSE SHE AT ONE TIME WEIGHED 98 PDS AT 5'7 SHE DOSNT USE IT BECAUSE ITS A DRUG NOW.

i wouldnt legalize pot cause people dont go out there and smoke it for medical reasons, they do it because they get "high" off of it. look how popular it is now...you see blankets with pot leaves on it, merchandise with pot leaves on it...i personally hate it. ive never smoked it and never will. if people have to smoke something to get high off of life then thats pretty ridiculous. if you want to give me a thumbs down for this answer go ahead but this is just how i feel about it
