I have a great job that I love. I have been here for three months and have been told I'm performing very well. However, after taking three pregnancy tests all with positive results I am concerned about how to tell my boss. He's a decent man, but I am worried about his reaction when he assumes my performance will suffer. He is the type of person to make those judgements. For instance, he discriminated against my age when he found out I'm 20 and not 24. He did this by saying that if he'd have known my age prior to hiring me, he wouldn't have. I was reeling in shock to hear such a thing! I know employers discriminate, but it's very hard to prove it in an interview, however, I am wondering if he would be able to fire me? I found this link... http://labor-employment-law.lawyers.com/human-resources-law/Pregnant-Employees.html

I recently put a restraining order on my husband's ex-wife for 3 years. Now she is constantly dragging me back to court - first she filed a motion to dismiss my RO (without notifying me, I found it online), which was denied. Then she filed a TRO against me filled with lies, and was denied again. Now she filed ANOTHER RO, which I haven't even been served with yet (again, I found it online - I think she's hoping I don't appear).
My question is, since I haven't been served, do I have to appear? I want to go to the clerk of courts before the court date to see exactly what she is saying I did to her, but Im not sure if I should file an answer or a general denial. Does anyone know the difference?
Also, isnt she basically harassing me through the court system? How many times can she do this and get away with it? I live in So. California. Thanks!

Last night, my wife and I were minding our own business, when about 6:00, some kids knocked on our door. They were dressed rather absurdly, and they asked me to give them candy. I had no idea who these children were, so I sent them away.

Over the course of the next two hours, there must have been twenty children who did the same thing. They ranged in age from infants to early teens, and some of these beggars even brought their PARENTS with them! I was appalled! I have never experienced such ridiculousness! At one point, I was so angered with their persistent and shameless groveling, I sprayed one child in the face with pepper spray, and as he lay on the ground wallowing and crying, I shouted, "TELL ALL YOUR DUMB LITTLE FRIENDS!!!"

Today, his parents knocked on my door, and have told me they will sue me for assault on a minor. I told them I will countersue for harrassment. Do I have a case?

Alright so I am misunderstanding the 24 hour notice and he is allowed to open and close my garage to see if I am home, i doubt it. that is a violation of privacy. I went thru an actual rental company, and they did not step foot in my house or garage without my permission. I think i would know when i am being violated. and it says in a law, that they are not allowed on the property, property means everything, yard, house, otherwise this would mean he would be able to go into my back yard if he wanted. Once you have someone sign there name to your property you have no rights to it unless there is an emergency. I don't even know how many times I have read this in so many laws. And the 24 hours does go as well if they want to stop by, because he was coming over to get money for a deposit. He is a friend and if he were just stopping by the say hi, thats a different story, he wasn't, he was coming to collect money for the property.

I made a Parody video of my workplace, everybody in it aggreed to being taped and came up with goofy fun skits. I placed in on youtube but I did not use my company name nor did I link it to the name of my workplace On the public domain so that no one would find it, the address was leaked to the Owners of the company, I was asked to take it down and then I was terminated for copyright Infringement of using the company logo ( video taping the front door ie logo on it ) also I was told my parody of certain departments was offensive to others and that it was not funny

However, there was another parody video made of the same nature by another employee of this same company that did use the company name over the youtube and is regonized as so when looking up the video, these individuals were not terminated nor even repremaned in anyway.

Is this copyright infrngment that I unknowingly taped the logo?
What are my rights?
Is this Discrimantion?

Please Help, what can I do?

I confided my medical problem to my office manager, because I needed help regarding my insurance coverage. I told her I did not want my issue discussed with anyone at work. She told me she could not disclose my medical information with anyone, because of the Hippa laws. I discovered she told another employee who was going through the same tests I went through. This upset me greatly and I discussed the matter with my boss, who is also her boss, but he just gave her a verbal warning. He didn't seem too concerned about it, which I didn't like. To be honest, this is regarding infertility, which is one of the hardest and most depressing things to go through. I am very private and only told 2 close friends at work. My friends and family have told me this breach of confidentiality is unacceptable and that she should get fired or I should sue. I didn't want to go that far, but I think she should at least get a written warning. Any advice would be much appreciated.

unit and thus did not turn in any of the income of the people illegally living there, is the landlord required to turn this over to hud..that is if a tenant reported someone had 3 more people living there than on the lease and everyone in the complex is require to sign legal documents that they swear are true statements, must the management report this..if the person is thrown out for other reasons (too loud etc) can te apartment complx iognore the legal fraud violations the person committed. would the landlord get in trouble with hud if someone had a copy of a complaint letter that stated reason why the neighbor suspected more than one person lived there and later turned a copy of this letter to HUD, would the landlord get in trouble and could the person then be investigated if they had since moved for other violations.

"America does not torture people"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waterboarding

although we have been doing this - please check wikipedia link-

So if we can torture, lie that we don't, and keep doing it, when you put your hand on your heart and sing the Star Spangled Banner at a ball game - are you including these ugly facts as part of your love of what the good ol USA stands for- Truth, fairness, justice, integrity, democracy?

or is it ok just to let it all fall apart and follow the animal instincts that lead us into the darkness...?

your call... what say you?

About 3 months back I paid off completely a credit card and closed the account. The CC company sent me the final bill and I paid in full. A couple days ago my boss got a call from someone claiming to be with the state and told him I was in alot of trouble. I wasn't at work that day but my boss being concerned that I was in trouble called me at home and told me about it. He gave me the phone # that she gave him for me to call. I called and she told me she was with the federal government and that I owed the CC company $299.00 for late fees throughout my time with them. I told her that was BS and to send me an invoice. She then called back several hours later and talked to my husband. My husband called her on her lies because she told my boss she was with the state and me that she was with the feds. She then told him that he better call me at work and tell me to leave to avoid the embarrassment of being arrested in front of co workers. Where can i report them//her?

I live in England (laws).

I have recently gone for a job as a trainee financial advisor. I have done well and am dead cert to get the position and start my training. In 6 days i will sign a contract.
However the employers are asking for my last 5 years earnings from the Inland Revenue (they've asked me to obtain this), but it does not coincide with the information I gave.
I have been with my current employer for 2 and half years, However before that I have said I had only one previous employer which was Currys- Shop Floor Manager.

The truth is I had to tart things up to help my CV get processed as I knew i would do well if I got a chance of an interview.
Before my current job I was a carpenter for 6 months, and before that i DID work at currys(electrical retail) although only part time and as a sales assistant.

They are aware that this info will come some weeks after I sign the contracts- when they are recieved and are wrong, can they fire me? Or is it their discretion?
