There are only 5 reasons a SSI check can be garnished. 4 are taxes and the 5th is child support.

blunt is soooo wrong i know plenty of people on SS disability that have been garnished for child support

no, your ssi cannot be garnished, for ANY reason. am on ssi myself and have had some people try to garnish mine, and it cant be done. not even for child support. if you need info, try looking up ssi.gov.
