Be on time, show up every day you're scheduled, volunteer for overtime if available, do you job correctly, don't slack off, dress properly, communicate properly (no slang, obscenities, etc.) and effectively, take pride in what you do, be knowledgeable about your duties and those of others, be a "customer maniac" if you deal with the public.... Or are you asking advice on how to kiss a**?

in my own opinion, there is no fast way of winning the favor of your immediate superior unless you are blessed with a strong charisma... however, you must earn it by doing your responsibilities, love your work and always be in your best, then i guess you surely be favored by your superior. Don't over do it though in such a manner that it would be so very obvious that you are pleasing your boss... be natural......^^
