So here is the situation - Police do a search on a house - they do have a no knock warrent - they find nothing illegal in the premises - so everyone is charged with disorderly conduct and two people are charged with head of house hold -

Went to court and plead not guilty to both charges because there was nothing in the house - ( correction one person had weed on them but it was not enough for sale only consumption and it was inside their pocket they werent even charged with possession ) - i made the mistake of requesting a bench trial because i was assuming at least one of the charges if not both were to be thrown out - the judge at first refused to allow me a lawyer said the charges werent important enough if was a non jailable offense to grant me a public defender - ( i dont make enough to hire a lawyer ) so after entering my plea and them changing the court date a few times - ( less than 3 ) we went back and they tried to get us to cop a plea ( cont )

I need to know where I can find a site showing if I need a permit or what I need to do to build a tomb (for lack of better word or knowledge on the subject) on MY OWN PROPERTY for family use. I want one big enough to put my mother, father and possibly me, when the time comes for us, but need to know what steps to take in order to do so. Thank you and no dumb answers please.

I've heard of the three-strikes law. Three felonies lands you in prison for life, right? Well, we all know when a celeb fouls up. Why aren't there a ton of celebrities in prison for life right now? I know Britney is about to receive strike two.

am interested in both becoming a foster parent and adopting a child. I realize all laws in different states are different. I live in ohio. But i was wondering genrally what are the rules on the age you have to be to become a foster parent/adoptive parent and also if there is an income requirement for either.

I had gotten a ticken when i was 15. Actually there were 2. one was disorderly conduct and one was out past cerfew. I went to court and they assigned me 60 community service hours. I was told to get them done in two monthes and come back. I did not go back because i was a minor and my mom would not take me and a minor can not go to court alone. I am 18 now I got a lawyer and he took the bench warrants away and I was told to get the community service hours done. Well there were a few situations that make it impossible to get them done. My court date is in 2 weeks and I do not have the hours done. Will I go to jail? I work 55 hours a week and my manager said she would write a statment saying so. I am also in college. I just want to know if there is any way the judge will put me to jail. I faced the music right when i turned 18 payed a lawyer 1500 dollars and am in the process of getting it all taken care of. what will happen?

...without paying. Most every online source I've found says that the 'poor man's copyright' won't hold up in court (mailing your work to yourself via the postal service). I know about registering your work but that's so expensive. Are there any legal alternatives?

We get along well just didn't click. I filed for child support, and the court will send him a summons to a court hearing. He lives in a different state and I don't want to make a burden on him as he is more than willing to pay child support. Is it possible, he doesn't have to go explaining the situation or just be on the phone while the hearing takes place?

I work in a hospital, the surgical waiting area. The policy is, to validate the parking tickets, of the family members, of the patients, who are having surgery on that day. Not the day before. Only the day of surgery. This particular gentleman felt I should have validated his ticket because his aunt was having surgery, but it wasn't scheduled until the next day, he was just visiting her. I explained hospital policy to him, tried to give him information about purchasing a parking pass, he did not want it. His response was, you should change your policy. He then said he has a relative on the board of directors, and wanted my name, so he could report, my behavior to this person. I feel I've done nothing wrong, some of my co-workers, said they would have just stamped his ticket just to shut him up. What would you have done?

My friend got busted with 8 or 9 full grown plants that were ready to be harvested and had approx. 50 other plants from seedlings up to about a foot tall.
What is the best and worst case scenario? He was told he may get it reduced to a misdemeanor, 5 years probation and a fine of maybe 20 grand, and probably no jail time, does this sound possible? This is his first offense of any kind.
Thanks!
