I'm very curious how people spin this. If you love America you must love the constitution. If you love the constitution you have to believe in free speech. The constitution doesn't say free speech for people we agree with, it says free speech for everyone. If you don't like what he has to say then don't listen, So how can you tell someone that in America they don't have the right to speak? If you think that he shouldn't be allowed to speak then do you think we should change the constitution?

In 1990 my mother was granted visition rights to see her children in the state of Kansas under supervision of their paternal grandmother at her house (nowhere else and even with my grandmother we could not leave the house, also a person from child protective services has to be on the premisis at the time). In 1995 she was convicted of Forgery and sentenced to 5 years probation in the state of Utah (she had gone there to see another child). As part of her probation in Utah she was not allowed to leave the state. My question is can the state of Utah deny my mother her rights to visit her children in Kansas because of probation even though the state of Kansas set very strict guidelines of the meeting places? If not is there anything we can do (now we are over 18 years old but this stripped us of a chance to get to know our mother at all).

I am personally thinking, that this is the MOST retarded US law ever made.
First of all US is one of the few countries that have this pathetic law, Second there is so much government money were wasted for arresting "underage" drinkers, cause there will be always someone who is 21, who will buy it. Next if you old enough to die for your country when you 17!!!! Why cant you have little buzz than? And by the time you would turn 21, you already would want to start settling and building family...and you will loose interest to alchohol

I had a court case going on because a girl hit me in a car accidnet. My lawyer one week before the settlement conference left me because the lack of his effort and time put into my case. His mistakes lead to me loosing thousands of dollars. I had to go to the settlement conference and I settled however now I regret it somewhat because I feel I was taken advantage of by the other attorney because it was them against me. Is there anything I can possibly do now even though we signed to settle? I'm going to contact my local bar to try to either sue my past lawyer or get some of the money I should have as I lost a lot.

Help please.

I rented a few DVDs from a store for 2 dollars each. Most of the DVDs do not work properly. I complained to the shopkeeper that it doesn't work - but she says it works very well. She says the DVDs are always tested for flaws & only the 100% efficient ones are the ones that they rent to customers. She says it could be a problem with my computer or CD drive.

What can I do?

I heard from someone that they heard that, and didn't really believe it, but when she was 16, a cop talked to her and she had a pack of camels visible clearly visible. She didn't get them taken away. Did the cop just miss it (or ignore it), or is it actually to possess cigarettes at this age?

so, i was on a cash payment basis with an employer for a part time job. he was fine in paying initially, but, he hasn't made his last payment. he sent an email over a month ago stating that he would deposit the money in my account by later that day or the next day. he hasn't. (this is my only "proof" of owed wages). problem is, the amount is under a 1000 and it will be pretty expensive to take him to court ( only thing i know is his name).

is there another magical way to get my money? or should i just forget about this? if i sue him, what are the chances i will win a settlement? and, will this have an effect on his credit rating/record? i would love to just sue based on principles. but, if the settlement has no effect on his permanent record (trouble getting loans, etc etc ), then there's no point.

help a brotha out.

I think this is an urban myth, but my friend swears a nurse she knows told her it works and loads of medical type people do it.

The theory is, the speed camera cannot 'see' through undeveloped x-ray film placed over the car number plate.

The number plate is supposedly still visible to the naked eye, however, so if a human cop sees you he or she will not notice anything amiss.

My reason for thinking it is an urban myth is that if it was true, why don't we hear about people doing it? There are lots of people who would be lining up to take advantage of something like this if it was true.

Her argument to that is, how would ordinary people get undeveloped x-ray film, it's only available via medical channels and those folks are used to keeping their mouths shut!

If you have any facts, a web site, an informed opinion or just a good theory ~ please let me know.

I'd really like to win this one :-D

Please Note: I am NOT planning to try this, even if it is true!

Trying to explain my Q easy, so here goes:

USA is a country defined by borders (which are internationally agreed upon i'd assume, give or take a mile or so). Say i bought an acre of land within the borders of the USA, and owned that land outright. Is that land now soley owned by the me, or is it always 'borrowed' from the Governers of the country of the USA, whose borders the land lies within? Ie. Can the government claim this land as USA owned always (they're always above personal ownership contracts, so no one can go and claim land within the borders etc), and on the other hand, could i claim it as 'mine', and for an extreme example, say it was 'my country' on it's own, with it's own borders etc (ok, maybe not a counrty, but you hopefully get my point!)

Was just curious at how property law works, considering that all landmass' on earth bar antartica, are considere part of a counrty. So does anyone really, actually own land - or is it all just borrowed from the identity of a country

I was at a theme park and couldn't help but see a guy who was confronted by the park mgr. because he had received some complaints about the guy taking photos of females who were close by but looking the other way. The mgr. made sure that any female pics were deleted. Then I heard the manager quote "Do you realize that you could be charged with sexual harressment? You leave the park now or i call the police who won't be leniant with a case like this" Was the manager truthful or just putting fear into this innocent person assuming he was going to upload the pics to some site that would scar the 2 females reputation for life? If he only intended the pics to be used strictly to keep to himself wouldn't he only get a warning or a slap on the wrist? In my book it's legal to take pictures of any subject what so ever as long as you don't publish it to the public without the subject's permission.

to be continued

I Already know that people are thinking im a deadbeat so just get it out of your system then maybe answer the question. I agreed in my divorce decree to pay 550 a month for two kids. I was willing and able to pay it at the time. I love my kids and would give them a million if I could.

i hurt my arm really bad and have since( 3 years off and on) had a hard time paying my support. im now behind 10000 on it. I was arrested recently and paid a bond to get out of jail. I want to care for the kids but at this point I just cant hardly keep a job and pay support. im going to take two jobs at fast food places in order to try to catch up.

I have an arraignment soon and I was wondering if you thought i would spend jail time. this is my first offense of ANY kind at all. im a generally "good citizen" and i dont break the law. im going to bring some more money with me to put towards the back owed money and like i said ill try to have two jobs before i go to court

I made a complaint of harassment to my employer. My employer refused to carry out their harassment policy and my union colluded with them in changing my complaint to a greivance.

I never asked for the complaint to be heard as a greivance it was always harassment.

My union rep will now not contact me until he has taken legal advice.

What is the best way forward?
