I Already know that people are thinking im a deadbeat so just get it out of your system then maybe answer the question. I agreed in my divorce decree to pay 550 a month for two kids. I was willing and able to pay it at the time. I love my kids and would give them a million if I could.

i hurt my arm really bad and have since( 3 years off and on) had a hard time paying my support. im now behind 10000 on it. I was arrested recently and paid a bond to get out of jail. I want to care for the kids but at this point I just cant hardly keep a job and pay support. im going to take two jobs at fast food places in order to try to catch up.

I have an arraignment soon and I was wondering if you thought i would spend jail time. this is my first offense of ANY kind at all. im a generally "good citizen" and i dont break the law. im going to bring some more money with me to put towards the back owed money and like i said ill try to have two jobs before i go to court

I am sick of reading these comments. DOG FOOD? What an idiot. How do you know what income his x has? She may be a M.D. , An R.N. An attorney, you never know.

My x is an RN, she makes more than i do, and i still pay over 800 per month, If the state would have figured it, it would have been more!

and at 550 per month, less than 10 months behind. Get a life.

I had a back injury that lasted over a year before i was back on track!

larry h , It is trash like you calling others trash when you do not know the whole story! And it is YOUR pathetic attitude that allows politicians to corrupt the system. Grow up!

Bring proof of your injury and let the judge know you are attempting to keep your word.

Also try to see if you can get an order to lower your support amount due to your injuries, and most importantly, try to remain a father for your children, and not bad mouth the mother.

I KNOW THAT THEY CAN TAKE YOUR LICENS IF YOU DO NOT PAY, THE JUDGE WILL TALK TO YOU. YOU CAN GO BACK TO THE CHILD SUPPORT COURT AND LET THEM KNOW THAT THERE WAS A CHANGE IN YOUR INCOME AND YOU CANNOT MAKE THE HIGH PAYMENTS THAT YOU ARE MAKING AND THEY CAN MODIFY YOUR PAYMENTS.

Be sure you carry with you all of your expenses during the past few years...as well as proof of income. That's about all you can do.

your big mistake was you should have went to court to get it reduced soon after you got hurt, instead of falling behind.
