I have filed a domestic abuse restraining order and it is just temporary right now. He got served already and i needed to let him know of a very important package i mailed him. Am i violating my OWN order against him by contacting his friends or by having my friend call him for me? I read over the order and saw that it didn't mention anything about ME having no contact etc. It just said that if i invite contact he still has to obey the order. I understand that. But Can i violate my OWN order? I need him to know the package is VERY important and he needs to watch out for it due to our neighbors "taking" our packages! I called him once and hung up, and then had my friend call to tell him i needed to talk. He told her it goes both ways and he doesn't want to go to jail for talking to me. Is this right? Am i ok ,just relaying messages to him then w/o actually talkin to him?

If a person is arrested have held before and during his trial and then acquitted should the state compensate him for his time in prison? During that time he probably lost his job and acquired tons of legal and other bills.

Does it change your answer if the person is proven not guilty, like with DNA?

I was found not giluty on two counts both fenolys this morning...prias god and thanks to the jury..two of the DA's witness lied and I can prove it ..theres is a paper trail..but the DA hates me..so how do I get him to enforce the law..he was trying to send me away for three years...thanks..

i personally know of a certain hospital in los angeles that refuses treatment they even think a person MIGHT be home less even if you have a legitimte illness and a valid med- cal/medicare card. they feel you just dont derserve it! any comments?

recently a modelling agency guaranteed me a modelling contract provided id do my portfolio through them.

i would like to claim back the cost of the portfolio as well as sue for inconvenience, embarrassment etc.
Obviously id have (others who have been scammed in similar way by same company) witnesses to prove my case

What excactly does the small claims court cover in way of claims? do they cover other than actual costs?

Women do any of you carry any kind of weapon at least once or once in a while to feel safe? It could be anything like a licensed owned hand gun, a kitchen knife, pepper spray, tazer, or a pocket knife.Any other things please mention what .If so you do not have to , but you could say why if you want to.

I was going down the stairs in my building and slipped on a piece of plastic that was on the steps a hurt for a few days then it went away soon after (3-4days) i was in extreme pain I wen to the hospital and then had an MRI from my docto advice the MRI reads a disc bulge or herniated disc, I have been out of work since 8/27/07 to date 9/21/07 can I make any kind of claim? If so what can be recovered?

I was at cheerleading practice lastnight and I injured my knee severely in a stunt/mount. It was about 30 minutes out of 2 hours into practice. I was out for the rest of practice. I was allowed one bag of ice by the coaches (2) and I was not allowed to call my mother to even pick me up at the end of practice. I could not and still cant put anypressure on it. I am on crutches as of this morning. They filled out an accident form due to league rules. THey didnt call my mom, they didnt send home a copy of the form they filled out, NOTHING! So I am sure I either broke, badly sprained, or tore a ligiment and am currently demobilized. Isnt all that illegal?? Child abuse???

In a contract, who is the promisor and who is the promisee? I am having a hard time figuring this out.... The case goes that M made a contract with D, to buy D's land. The contract said time was of the essence. To make a long story short, M didn't arrive on time, D declared the contract breached because of M's late arrival, and M attempted to sue D for specific performance. I am not a law major, and no i'm not doing homework; however, I have to know this case for a reason. Can anyone tell me, in this situation, who is the promisor and who is the promisee? It's confusing because both of the people involved in the contract made promises to one another right? So how do you know which is which? Thanks!

I've been working for the same company for a year and no benefits. I want to leave but before I do, I'd like to know if I have any benefits I could claim. I have no incentive to stay, my manager would like to keep me, but corporate would not make me permanent because "the numbers are very low". I am posting and sending my resume wherever I see the opportunity, should I give a two week notice? I don't feel like I owe them that curtesy.

I received an envelope from the State of California Employment Development Department(for disability), and on the address window of the envelope, it clearly states "SOCIAL SECURITY NO." and has my NINE digit SSN in plain view! I'm afraid of being a victim of identity theft. What do I do now? Do I/can I sue them? Do I need to change my SSN?

my friend's girlfriend called up my friend's school to ask about how she could sign up to go to her homecoming with her, since they don't go to the same school and she's 21. the principal said she couldn't go because of her age. But when she asked about Prom, the answer was very different. she can't go to my friend's prom not because she's 21, but because shes a girl and so is my friend. same-sex couples are banned from going together.

this is in pennsylvania & i was wondering if the principal can really get away with this, or if PA has a law that protects this kind of thing?? if so, could you send me a link to where it talks about it???

6 black kids beat up a white kid, so why is the black community throwing a fit. If the tables were turned and 6 white kids beat up 1 black kid the black community would be throwing a fit about any of the kids getting bail. It is called mob action six on one is never acceptable no matter the color. All the kids involved should get punished properly. And can we say double standard, you can not have things your way all the time. What is okay for one race is okay for the rest of them.
