Anyone who is ill deserves to receive health care! It is the civilized thing to do. Also, since we don't know what is causing the person's illness, they should be treated for the protection of the rest of us! TB was almost eradicated in this nation, now we have an increase of more than 10% of known cases. Do we want that desease to return full force, especially since it has now morphed into an almost untreatable desease! Treat them, they are human beings. It is only by the grace of God that we are not them!

Medical treatment CANNOT be refused. It's the law. If they need healthcare, there is MedicAid. Nobody should be GIVEN healthcare for free.

A lot of people need to drive cars. Should we be given car care? Cars are getting more and more expensive to keep and maintain.

People should buy their own health insurance if they don't get it through their employer. Otherwise, Medicare and MedicAid are current federal programs for people who can't afford it or get it.

they deserve exactly what they get and your observation isnt all correct. Doctors are obl.igated by law to assist when someones life is in immediate danger. NO matter if it is at a hospital or at a wreck on the side of the road.

If it's a 'private' hospital, they have a right to refer the patient to a different hospital if the injuries are not life threatening.

Your question is, "do they DESERVE healthcare" and the answer is "NO". Giving freebees to homeless and poor people is only ENABLING them to keep their current lifestyle. I say that because it isn't just healthcare we give them, it's all of the other things we DONATE to them like food and clothing and on and on and on---------

Providing health care for them is our own fault, we enable them.

There are municipal laws that prevent feeding the homeless..... so our government does NOT want to give ANYBODY anything. It's a one way street from your pocket to their greedy, corrupt & dirty hands. Get with the program. Privitize, privitize, privitize.... no free nothing for nobody.

It is not legal for them to be refused healthcare, even if they cannot pay for that care and are homeless.

they are never refused medical treatment no matter what their home/ shelter situation is. That is the law. They may be denied drugs, which many of them try to get, but they are never EVER denied medical care.

These hospitals fear having to house the violent drug addicts. Thank the lawyer if you do not like the reluctance of hard working health agencies to treat these alcoholic criminals.
