if you get a probation violation and they arrest you how long would you be locked up for?

All or part of the time left on probation.

They could lock you up for the maximum allowable term from your original violation. an example would be if you were convicted of a 90 day max. misdemeanor than you could be forced to serve 90 days. Unless your violation is a worse offense than your original then they could hold you indefinitely depending on your crime.

what were you charged with in the first place, is it your first offense?

what is the nature of your violation and are there any extenuating circumstances?
