I've been working for the same company for a year and no benefits. I want to leave but before I do, I'd like to know if I have any benefits I could claim. I have no incentive to stay, my manager would like to keep me, but corporate would not make me permanent because "the numbers are very low". I am posting and sending my resume wherever I see the opportunity, should I give a two week notice? I don't feel like I owe them that curtesy.

As a temp, you dont have any rights to benefits, but it is always a good idea to give two weeks. I worked for a compnay on contract for just over 2 years.

Although you have no "rghts" necessarily, i do know that my company hired me after 14 months of being a temp because Microsoft lost a big lawsuit a few years back because the temps all sued them for not giving them benfits and won, so many large companies are afraid that this may be their fate as well and either terminate you or hire you on full time

This seem`s to be the way corporation`s are cutting cost .
My company hire`s temp. driver`s during peek season and most if not all quit in the slow season . Though they still hire Temp .driver`s in the slow season to cut way back on O/T .
It really s**** especially around the Holiday`s .

Depends whether you are working through an agency or not. If not an agency, probably not. You should give at least a week's notice so you can use them as a reference.

You may not owe them that courtesy, but I would give my two weeks notice, and that's because if I need to use them as a reference they can give good feedback on me.

you should still give them 2 weeks notice in case you use them as a reference or for your resume.

do not give notice until you have a job, because the day you give notice most likely they will tell you to leave that day
