I guess what I am getting at is this: I understand there are alot of deadbeat dads out there and they deserve to make payments, but it seems to me that there is a double standard.

Case in point. I know someone who had two kids. His wife was out screwing other guys while he was out working supporting his family. She eventualy wanted a divorce, took the kids, found a sugar daddy and married again, yet this poor guy still had to pay out of his a$$.

How does that make sense??

Do the laws need to be reviewed? This isn't 1950 when women do not work. I hear so many horror stories of guys who get screwed out of their life when they did nothing wrong at all.

I am trying to see what type of leagal ramifications I can use against my wife's previous employer. The company ran into a financial bind and started paying her whenever they could afford to cut the payroll checks. Payday was every-other Tuesday yet they wouldn't get their checks until Thursday or Friday. She was released from work last Thursday due to the company having no money. Can we do anything legally based on the fact that she was never paid on time?

Also, she received her last paycheck today which should have been for 80 hours, instead the check was for 24 hours with no explanation why. We have not been able to reach the owner for an explantion. Is there anything we can legally do in this case? She was salaried so there was never a timecard or anything we have to show that she worked 80 hours.

My roommate used to date a good friend of mine. I am close to both of them. My roommate just found out she is pregnant by my friend. She does want to have the baby and plans to get an abortion. She asked me to go with her but I dont believe in abortion so I said no. She called me judgemental and hasnt spoken to me. The real problem is that she hasnt told my friend what she plans to do or that she is even pregnant. She is going to kill his baby without telling him. I think he has the right to know but she says it none of my business and to stay out of it. Doesnt he have the right to know?? It is half his kid too. What should I do?????

i went on an interview the guy told me i had the job, and when can i start. he says he has to wait for the background check to come back and it takes a couple days .i have never had a problem with the background check before as i have had 3 previous jobs in loss prevention. my question is he says i have the job, but should he be saying this, if he isnt one hundred percent sure, due to the fact he is waiting for documentation?

She lived alone and was deaf. She died three weeks ago but they didnt find her till a few days ago. She is sitting in the morge cause no one can claim her.
We know she has a brother and two very close friends that she would leave a will for but the police/court wont let us get into the house to get a phonebook since we arent family. The closest family is in New York and they dont know cause there is no way of telling them.

Anyways What do I do to One claim her and give her a funeral and two find her will and make sure her money and estate goes where she wanted it to go and not the state.(I know she had a lawyer but I dont know who)

btw I live in CT

I live in Columbus, Ohio . A man was sentenced to 3 years in prision for stabing his wife to death back in the 1980's . He only spent 1 1/2 years behind bars . Yesterday , he tried to stab his present wife to death . So far she has suvived multiple stab wounds . Why is it someone can do a minor crime and get 5-10 and then another person can murder someone or molest a child and be out in 1-2 years ? Is it due to race ? Is it the judges , the laws or both ? What is this world coming to?

do you think Islamic terrorists should get 'prisoner of war' status and special treatment in UK prisons, as an Islamic lawyer has been talking about in the news recently after one of her 'terror mastermind' clients, who is serving time, got attacked whilst in nick?

Day after day the news reports either someone has murdered their loved ones and then themselves or they have murdered their entire family and a few others for measure.

I have to confess when I was going through a divorce I "WISHED" my ex was dead. But I quickly realized that would only make things worse as it would harm my children. And finally although I was still angry I realized 1.) She was a human being and 2.) I loved her enough to marry her and have 4 wonderful children.

I just don't understand how you can hurt, whether it's beating or murder the ones you love. Doesn't it defy logic? Are they truly insane?

Back in March one of my cars that my son had been driving was vandalized. We had to find out ourselves who did it and how to get ahold of them, then we had to literally harass the local police to do anything about it. I have been waiting for months to find out when they would be going to court. They were not charged with trespassing only criminal damage and theft. One of them was out on $25,000 bail for something else. He was not arrested or anything for bail jumping. He was sending threats to my son thru myspace (which has stopped and my son asked me not to do anything about it) and I had to put up with his mother coming to my home and threatening me. I called the police and all they did was talk to her and tell her to leave us alone. It's been so long I gave up calling and asking when the court dates were. . All I want is my money it cost to fix the car and when I turned in the paperwork I added labor charges. Which the officer said I was entitled to. Finally got a call from the town attornory who said I couldn't ask for labor charges because we did it ourselves and he also informed me I will not be allowed to give a victim statement or say anything in court. What the hell is that, I thought I had a right to. I just called the town hall to find out what happened with the other kid involved, who was ticketed months ago. And was told he was supposed to go to court July 5th but didn't show up so they entered a default judgement against him for the tickets but didn't order any restitution. I was not notified of anything. I was being treated for cancer and not working so coming up with the money to get that car on the road was a real bummer. We had to do the labor ourselves there is no way we could have afforded to have some one do it. I thought I was entitled to give a statement in court and am entitled to restitution.

My boyfriend is a independent contractor working as a security. His supervisor recently told him that people have come in off the streets to inquire about obtaining a security position. However they are only in need of one security guard. His supervisor said people have offered to work at $10 an hour, while my boyfriend is paid $20 per hour. Appartenly they want to cut his pay by half because of this. But I want to know if they can legally do that. Of course it is a moral issue and seems wrong but I need to know if it is legal.

do you think it has a psychology twist to it,
that childrens brains arent fully developed enough to understand what they are doing.

should children be charged the same but be placed in a seperate jail, thats like throwing them in with lions.

do you think they should have lesser harsh punishments, like less time, that way they can learn from thier mistakes and continue on with thier life.

anything would be helpful. its for a research paper/debate, one person takes a side, and the other person takes the other side and we debate in front of class, i have some good stuff but i would like opinions of other people as well, this is the world were living in i would like to know how everyone feels.

why in the world, doesnt our government act like it says "for the people and by the people"

why cant they politicians take the policies, agendas, and laws, and put them up to vote for and by the ''people'' of this country...as in like once a month we go to a voting booth to all individually vote on the hard issues like abortion, war, legallization of drugs, gay marriage...?
