My husband was involved in a hit and run Monday. The Guy was caught.

He was rear ended and flipped twice to the side of the road. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital and he has a torn rotator cuff.

With the information we can gather the car that did this was from a repo lot.

Our insurance is picking up the tab because we have uninsured/underinsured but shouldn’t the insurance on the car or the suspects own insurance if he has any take responsibility?

What about lost wages?

Are we (for lack of a better word) screwed?

Here is a pic of his truck after

On a narrow, leafy street in Northwest Washington, where Prius hybrid cars and Volvos are the norm, one man bought a flashy gray Hummer that was too massive to fit in his garage.

So he parked the seven-foot-tall behemoth on the street in front of his house and smiled politely when his eco-friendly neighbors looked on in disapproval at his "dream car."

It lasted five days on the street before two masked men took a bat to every window, a knife to each 38-inch tire and scratched into the body: "FOR THE ENVIRON."

"The thought of somebody vandalizing it never crossed my mind," said Gareth Groves, 32, who lives with his mother in a three-story home in the 3400 block of Brandywine Street NW in American University Park. "I've kind of been in shock."

My 12th grade Government teacher said that if a police officer reaches into your mouth by force to retrieve something illegal, then you cannot be charged with anything because its illegal for the police to do and the officer would be in trouble. Even if its drugs. Is this true?

What he did was he combined water and electricity. It turns into a gas called HHO, which can power a car for 100 miles a gallon on...water. Yes, essentially free power. All it costs is 1500$ to equip your car, and you'd never have to go to a gas station again.

He was from Grove City, Ohio, just a couple of miles away from me. I knew the guy, and trust me, his water car was not bullshit. It worked, and it was absolutely amazing. Revolutionary, something that would solve so many problems and make life so much easier.

He was repeatedly threatened by Oil Companies, bribed 1 billion to shelf his idea, constantly pressured by the government who was breathing down his neck. Well, one night at a restaraunt to celebrate his invention and it's sale in a couple of weeks so that it would go into mass production. He took a drink from his glass, ran out into the parking lot and died. He was poisoned to death by our government. This can be seen easily, because just a few days later they>>

Glad to see it's finally back in FL. Why are people so concerned with cruel and unusual punishment? The criminals didn't seem to mind when they were committing the crime.

As for this guys lawyer saying "study him", what crap!! It won't change, he is a diseased piece of human filth. These people can't be changed, they are scum. All 50 states should have the death penalty.

Serious answers please...

Ok here goes. About 4 years ago, I was behind on my car payment with Ford Credit. I had a lease. I only had 5 payments left on my lease. I moved from Texas to Georgia, called and informed them, gave them address, phone numbers, etc. Hubby was trying to find a job so we were a little behind. I called and made arrangements. I made the payment when I said I would leaving us only 20 days late. Two days later, the car was taken. I called them and they didn't know why they would take it, then someone called and told me I had to pay 3 months to get it back. Anyways, haven't heard anything for 4 years, now I get a letter about a judgement and garnishment and that I owe 19K. Back when it happened, they said it was like 12K. How can I owe that much on a lease, shouldn't I only be responsible for the rest of the lease and since they screwed up and took it in error, how can I be held accountable? Can I get out of this garnishment?

Whenever we read articles about detainee abuse, renditions, or domestic wiretapping, the perpetraitors of these eggregous acts always say, "The means are necessary to potect our freedom, blah, blah, blah..."

But they always say it in the context of tying to get themselves off the hook. If these ends are so impotant as to override our legal famework and our notions of morality, shouldn't they be woth going to jail for?

This is basically the best lawful blackmail tool. Here's the story:
I sell photographs in tourist area, and since spring I'm harassed by one woman.Who sells exactly the same photographs. And want me to quit. She kept coming and lowering price tag or setting up stand right next to me.At one point i've had enough and i decided to fight back.I used her tactic. After a while she started to give up.And run away from me.In two weeks i received phone call from detective who asked me to come to his office. When i came he showed me report from that woman.
She was accusing me of sexual abuse, stalking.I couldn't believe my eyes. She wrote that i touched her threatened and forced her to have sex with me.Detective had to arrest me.
I spent 20 hours in jail. And when i got out the judge issued order of protection and ordered me to stay away from her.
So basically i think she won because if i do something she can call police and they'll arrest me without any question asked.

stomp.com.sg, had been banning their regular stomper frm posting on forum, ever since 1 of the most respected forum poster had been banned. 1 by 1, those voices tat had been voiced out for a reason, or protesting of unfairness, had been banned without giving any rights to knw the reasons. Even if those old stompers create an new account, Stomp's forum mod, also did not gave them any chance. They just ban straight.

They even went further by deleting away those post and threads that expose their ugly actions.

Seems to me that the SPH employee was trying to use his/her rights to filter away the ppl he/she don't like and covering up those things they done.

Stomp is a public forum. Those actions from the mod seems to get personnal with people.

The whole incident looks lyk how Umbridge rule Hogwarts.

Now Stompers are rioting but b'cus of the Mod's right, our voices are being delete and filter.

Pls spread this message and help to get our grievance heard.

Imagine your employer put undue pressure on you at work. Long unpaid overtime without time off in lieu. Failing to give enough support so you could adequately do your job. Expecting you to be able to do tasks for which you have insufficient training. Imagine this led to you actually developing depression and sleeping problems.

Could you successfully bring legal action against them? And are there successful cases?

Can we sue condo association if we get hurt by a pitbull dog?
The association has rejected our petition and will not ban or order muzzles for several pit bull dogs in our community. One of the dog has already caused $1,500 injury to a small dog. The association claims we would need to sue pitbull owner, not them. Aside from the dog owner, wouldn't it be the condo management's responsibility due to their negligence?

Thanks Legal

To start - I don't do drugs!

If we legalised all drugs and made herion etc free on the NHS (to registered users) would this not:

Dramatically reduce crime rates - burgalary, mugging old ladies for their pension etc?

Free the Cops up to solve other serious crimes? (don't forget most of the burgalary and mugging will be gone)

Give the people in Afganistan etc a legitimate trade!

It would not be a case of - "here little Johnny have a go with this" but an informed choice that people could make. Support would be given to anyone who wants to kick it but they would not be criminalized and forced to rob, cheat and lie for their fix.

Yes! Drugs kill! But so does alcohol and tobacco (we only get to keep them because the Govt. makes a lot of money in taxation)

Deep breath - Think hard.
