can therapist tell your parents that your on drugs if your under the age of 18?

If you were to tell your therapist that you were doing drugs like marajuana, cocaine, etc. can they tell your parents if you ask them not to?

usually if your over the age of 16 they keep it confedential-especially if you ask them to

As your legal guardians, I believe they have access to your medical records.

they would never tell (probably will but not sure) because this is confidential and they have no right.

They would probably make you ask yourself if YOU should tell them(self-guilt)
