Basically your'e right to bear arms....so banning weapons would be considered unconstitutional.
How about if there were laws banning the sale and ownership of ammo?

So here we have a very unfortunate incident that happened at the end of a gun but executed by the hand of a killer. Now we need to have stricter gun control laws because the guy didnt have a criminal record and somehow if he had to wait a week to get the gun he would of magically changed to a nice guy and this never would of happened??? There is no measure of gun control that could of prevented this. If you make it harder to get a gun it will only be harder for the honest people to get a gun, the criminals will still have ready access to them. The more the government unarms the populous the more it will turn to something other than a democracy and the more likely innocent will fall prey to the criminal population. So why is the government using this incident to propose stricter gun laws when in fact there is no measure that could of prevented someone without any prior criminal history from repeating these events. If you know how gun control could of fixed this I want to hear it?

when will america and other countries wake up to the fact that hadguns cause more problems than they solve?

making them available to young kids and adults just because they are of age< without a criminal record is ludicrous
they should be banned>

of course you"ll have them on the street _ but if guns were banned or had tighter restrictions on them: then kids wouldnt have such easy access> there should be some sort of background check done or something

what do you think?
isn"t this crazy?

My fiancee and I have been on and off again for the last ten years. He is the father of both of my children however his name is not on the birth certificate (he also did not sign it) and he contests paternity to our son not our daughter. I have decided to leave and move to PA from FL to start a new life. I will be moving in with a friend for financial help for a while. Is it legal to do this? Does he have any rights? And finally can he stop me? I am a homemaker and have been for the last four years. I plan on filing for child support once I move up there and have lived there for six months. Please help me any info would be appreciated.

I was sitting outside the bar on a bench and two cops drove up because someone reported an intoxicated person outside. I was just sitting there but I was very drunk. I was just going to walk home but it was preety far. Could he have arrested me if I wasn't being a disturbance, I was just quietly sitting there? One was kind enough to give me a ride but he did take my license and wrote down the info. on it. He knew me because I worked at a gas station he frequented while on duty. Why'd he write down my info.? Should I worry about this? Or is this normal protocal? I'm glad he didn't arrest me becuase it is so wrong if someone isn't making a disturbance and is of legal age and WAS NOT DRIVING.

This stems from a story on the news tonight about a pedofile that admitted before and during his release that he WILL reoffend, yet the community aren't informed!? Are we violating these violators rights? They probably should have thought of that before taking all those children's rights away..

Keep in mind that a ban on alcohol has been tried, and with disasterous results.

Also, keep in mind that most of these student deaths are from alcohol obtained illegaly. (Have to be over 21 to legally drink.)

Do we need tougher alcohol control? Should we ban it? (Even though the ban failed in the past?)

Now I know its possible for the government to filter and or listen to our phone calls so wouldn't it also be possible to moniter our AIM conversations as well. The police have told our school that it is possible that any threats made on AIM can be brought back for their records for like online threat evidence in court cases. My friend's mom is a cop too and she told him that the local police station filters our conversations for bad words to help aid in their crime fighting. Is this just paranoia or has the patriot act realy taken over all means of communication?

After these several unsuccessful attempts,I decided to track his last name over the Internet, to locate any member of his family hence I contacted you.

I have contacted you to assist in repatriating the money and property left behind by my client before they get confiscated or declared unserviceable by the bank where his huge deposits were lodged, firm where the deceased had an account valued at about 45 million dollars has issued

Many corporations now have Affirmative Action policies. Is it better to require a hiring of a diverse group of individuals or to hire someone based on their qualifications? Also if you agree or disagree, what are your supporting arguments?

I am a 17 year old ending her junior year in Kentucky. I am interested in being emancipated from my parents for various reasons all of which they consent too. Thus, there would be a mutual agreement on the emancipation. However, after researching it online I am wondering if Kentucky has any sort of emancipation law and if it does not then how could something simliar to an emancipation occur? As I am still a bit more than year from graduating high school I know that it would it would be worth it, I am just concerned legally it would be a whole lot of trouble. My parents are unwilling to let me move out unless it is legally declared which makes sense since I would be moving to another state and enrolling in my old school. If anyone can fill me in on the laws that would be great!

Seriously, please explain WHY it is necessary to have gun shops for the general public. WHY? I am looking for a REAL GOOD REASON. Protection?, come on! The 2nd amendment right to bear arms is ludicrous TODAY, maybe 200+ years ago but NOT today. Only law enforcement and certified security personnel need guns. Surely with gun control many crazies wound not conveniently buy guns, some would but many would be rejected or puzzled by the process of purchasing them.

The Virginia Tech massacre reminds me of 9/11. It wasn' another country terrorizing us; however, it was, after all, carnage. Why would anyone need the type of gun he used? Something is wrong here. I have cried and prayed for the victims of Va Tech and the survivors, families and students. Everyone I have been in contact with can talk of nothing else and our country mourns AGAIN.

Given that in reading past articles about him he has stood as a strong proponent of seat belt usage, and then gets seriously hurt in an accident where he wasn't wearing a seat belt.

I'm sorry he got hurt, but what gives with Dems. They do things like stroke the global warming debate, then burn more fossil fuels than anybody. They tout honesty and integrity and then have their own lying to federal grand juries and the FBI, and also getting caught with bribe money in their freezers then do nothing about it.

All schools have a 1000 foot gun free zone that all law abiding people must observe. Criminals don't care about laws so he just went ahead and broke it. When guns are illegal and gun laws make it impossible for people to buy them only criminals will have them.

This is over a dog nuisance ordinance which is a misdameanor. Since the person I am complaining about is connected to local village as a former president and with family members working within I am being denied the right to make a complaint and appear in court to prove my case. Unlike any other police department in Michigan they insist that they have to witness the nuisance occuring. That is difficult since everytime I call they are tipped off and they bring the dog inside. Now I know that is a violation of confidentiality but is it not my right to sign a complaint when a crime is committed agaisnt me. The guy already pled guilty to the first offense and now the problem has gotten worse. Obviously on purpose. Can someone link me to the specifics on my rights to file and prosecute a crime.
