Since there are a lot of people are not mature yet until 35, why should they own a gun when they are still at an irresponsible age.

I know the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act applies to trademarked names, but if the title of the book is not trademarked (only copyrighted), then does the act still apply? Or is there another similar act that applies to copyrights?

In the wake of the Virginia Tech atrosity, what else has to happen in order to make Americans seriously look at our gun control laws. I understand hunters need to hunt and they can all keep there rifles and shotguns. Sorry but the uzi's and automatic weapons need to go away.
Also we need a little more then a green card, checkbook, and a water bill to buy a gun.
And lets get rid of all the metal detectors infront of congress and the whitehouse. Let the people who make these ridiculous laws go to work like the rest of us do.
I understand the right to bear arms, howerver if you read a little further, it means americans have the right to form a militia. So that we could go fight the army if need be. Well if civilian had to go up against the army today, it would be as ridiculous as hunting a deer with a uzi.

Can we please try to learn and grow from this horrific event?

I am not saying anyone can change the world overnight, but by banning guns being sold legaly in america it would stop the non crinimal phsychopaths from getting them as easily as it is at the moment.
crinimals will always get guns I agree but I don't understand how you think not banning guns will make your country better on a whole.
And as for you rednecks having a gun dosent protect you, If someone pulls a gun out on you its rather unlikely you'll be able to get your gun out before your brain's are on the floor.and what if you dont have a gun? I hear you say, well theres not much you can do. BUT GUNS ARE NOT THE ANSER!!!!!!!

This is the gun used by law enforcement and security. I had no idea that anyone with ID can buy one. I would think that to buy this kind of handgun one would need proof that it was to be used in a legitimate purpose.

I have known a number of people that are so against the idea of having to register/license their guns. They say it's against their rights, etc.. That the gov't shouldn't know every little thing about them, etc.

At the same time, people have to get a dog license, register their car, etc etc. WHY on earth should people not have to register their Deadly Weapon!?!?

I have known people that go against the law of registering firearms, etc.. Now, shouldn't those same people be against registering their car, etc?

As for the whole idea of why people need to own certain types of guns anyway.. That's a whole other question.. :)

My daughter's father is an alcoholic mess. He has put our life in danger on more than one occassion and has tried to commit suicide two times in the past six months. He does it for attention to try to get us back, but it's not happening. Can the court take away his parental rights? He is not willing to do that, but I don't want my daughter to grow up with him as her father.

I was in sales of high dollar new homes. I left 6 weeks ago and my past employer has not removed my name from the voice mail system. Some customers have called leaving a message not knowing I have left, and expected a return call from me. Some prospects have met my previous employeer at a home show and asked where I was. He did not tell them I no longer worked there. I feel this is deceptive and places my name in a bad light. My feeling is they are afraid they will lose sales once prospects realize I am gone.

Also, I do not have a no compete agreement. Am I allowed to call my past customers and prospects to let them know I have left? I feel I owe it to them and they are not being taken care of. Am I allowed to tell them where I work? I did take new employment with a competitor.

For example, let's say someone gave someone some money with the intention of it being a bribe without saying that it is. Then, the other person happened to just give a favor to the first person because he "wants to help." Then is it still considered bribing (because you are just giving, like a gift or something)? After all, it's not illegal to give a gift or to help, so what is the line between that and bribing?
