There is no gun ownership in Singapore. Hence, you don't see senseless killings. SIngapore has done a great job enforcing very strict gun control laws because it is smart enough to foresee problems if guns are easily available.

Singapore is a police state. perhaps you've heard. guilty until proven innocent and punishment is harsh. secret police. in Singapore they have traded liberty for security. this was not a democratic decision by the way.

I imagine it has to do with the way they meet out punishment. Remember they cane people, that is lash with bamboo canes (and some die from it) for even petty crimes (even spitting gum on the sidewalk). Hey, that's a great idea for here. I will gladly see the 2nd Amendment rescinded if they would start meeting out violent punishment for even petty crime. It would make this a much safer country!
