my friend goes to washu (washington university at st louis) and her dorm allows drinking for all students regardless of age as long as the door is open. the police are call WUPD b/c they are employed by the university and if youre underage and drunk its ok as long as youre on campus and not driving or anything. the only thing that you can actually get in trouble for is if you have to go to the hospital or something and even then its just a warning. its like mexico but in missouri. is this even legal???

I've been told by 2 people in the law field that people can't sue when your only income is Social Security. This is my mother's sole income since my father's death and since that's happened it's been hard just to pay what needs to be paid. Now a credit card company is threatening to sue when after bills she barely has $60.00 left a month.

Recently some students from my school were on a choir trip (school organized) they signed permission slips that stated if they drank alcohol they would be sent home... two of the students had a sip of some alcohol and they were sent home (8 hours away driving) via jet, alone, and more importantly at THEIR expense. Does my school have the right to do this?

i told my friend (nico) to give my OTHER friend (justin) my skateboard (a pro skateboard costing me $150) to take home over the weekend. i just found out that nico didnt give the board to justin and he is now keeping it to himself. he claims that he kept the board but says it got ran over by a car (i do not believe this). is there anyway that i can sue him? my dad is a lawyer but i dont want to tell him about the incident if theres nothing he can do because i wasnt supposed to be out of the house. (i gave him my skateboard at a nearby school)

i want to know if i can sue him if he:

1.didnt follow my requests of giving my skateboard to somebody else

2.got it ran over by a car

3.kept my it

I have never seen one of these anti-immigrant-particularly-if-of-coloured-or-swarthy-appearance & anti-underprivileged-mum types complaining about taxpayers' money squandered on: (for example) weapons of mass destruction or the lavish lifestyle of MPs or government feasability studies. Why?

Hello, everyone. I am giving a presentation soon on whether or not pro-life healthcare providers should be allowed to deny perscriptions on the basis of conscience. Basically, should they be allowed to deny such perscriptions as "morning-after" drugs, contraception, viagra, etc.?

The presentation is designed to spark a debate of opinions. I am not looking for opinions here, but laws and facts to add to the presentation. Does anyone know the laws about this matter, or where to find references to them? Are doctors and pharmacists currently obligated to perscribe everything, or are they allowed to deny?

Again, please, I am not looking for opinions right now, only laws and facts. I will be getting plenty of opinions when I give the presentation. Thanks! :)

Who would I call about something like this? Would I have to abide by my states laws or all the states laws being it will be on a website? I need to be able to explain the idea to someone and have them tell me what kind of legalities are involved and if it can be done.
On another note could any John Doe create a website where members pay lets say $1 to enter in and they have a chance of winning $10,000 is this legal? Is it sort of a lottery? What if the website owner collected $20,000 in the process and paid out $10k as a prize and kept the other 10k? as long as he is posting everything he is doing to all the members is this ok? or what if he donates some of that other money to a good cause... like Cancer or something?

I know this is a lot, but if anyone has info it would be LOVED!

My friend sells her book online and claims to all that her work is copyrighted. (She does this by using the copyright insignia.) In fact, this is her bluff. Aside from her bad judgement not to copyright it, might she be breaking the law? What would the fine or penalty be for her, if discovered? Many thanks!

By rule of law King Herod declared that Innocent children should be killed. Like wise by rule of law the Decent and Innocent of the US be destroyed?

By rule of law the Innocent and the vulnerable are aborted every day so no you can not protect your grand children from being destroyed.

By rule of law you can not seek a place to live with others you feel safe with, as this is discrimination so your life and the lives of your loved ones as well as all of your possessions are at the whim of whom ever wishes to live in your neighborhood and the law will provide them the money to do so.

By rule of law no you can not protect the borders of your country , you mush allow others to take your jobs and your life away.

And Now Congress wants to stop our military from protecting this country by stopping them from doing there job.

America do you get it yet?

GardwineNorth is refusing to allow our local community store to pick up there own freight (groceries) from the distributor. Distributor is in Wpg. Mb. Canada and our little store is located in Northern Mb. The distributor has stated that GardwineNorth has that right not to allow anyone else to pick up freight? How can they have that right? The cost of shipping goods to the north is very expensive. We own a truck that can deliver the goods and would bring the cost down. We would also employ one of our residents to do this work. Is there legislation that allows them to do this? Is the distributor being un-fair? What are some options that we have to go against this Corporation that is Not allowing us to pick up our own merchandise. Is the distributor doing an illegal act by allowing this to happen. your help would be greatly appreciated as to where or how we can resolve this matter.
