They have a moral responsibility to hold accurate records about those whom they serve with a writ.

This also means that they have to trace you, if you owe them money, and they shouldn't expect your cooperation.

You must re-serve the papers! Otherwise you are out of luck. There's not much you can do about the person who served the papers. Just hire someone else.
