A person that came up to me said, no way josé. We should not have death penalty for murder in this civilized country. I feel that is wrong. You take a life and pay with your own, fair and square.

Within the last year, I have gone to what I thought was the best permanent makeup technicians in the state of Texas. Unfortunately, it has turned out to be that they were the most dishonest individuals I have worked with thus far. It’s a shame that the ones that have become most famous and popular in this industry are essentially the ones that have become well known MAINLY because of their personalities and their means of manipulating their target market. I have had to learn this the hard way. I now live with rather botched corrective procedures that I didn't initially want. I was talked into getting them by my technicians that ensured me that the results would be beautiful. The results have been horrifying. So, I am wondering if anyone knows the laws in this industry, and if there is anything at this point that I can do receive even the smallest level of restitution?

Me and 3 friends did a bad thing. We took a pic of a nice car a piano and a set dinner table and then went door to door in a different neighborhood selling raffle tickets saying it was a fund raiser for that neighborhood high school. We told the buyers they dont need to be present to win that winners will be notified so if they get no call then they didnt win. We sold the tickets for 6 dollars each and the prizes were 1st place was the car, 2nd place was the piano and 3rd place was a dinner for two at the restraunt of there choice. We sold all the tickets and made just over 700 dollars. Heres the real problem, one of my friends has had a guilty concience and want us to turn ourselfs in(her too) she is threatening to tell the cops what we did. There isnt even an investigation and we spent the money. I know we did wrong but will this really matter since no one is looking for us and no one realizes anything was done? So any advice?

My husband and little girl both need Social Security numbers. Neither of them have birth certificates. I have finally gotten my little girl a birth certificate but the are wanting more ID to prove that she was born in Canada. My husband was also born in Canada, his mother can't even tell us where he was born. All we have is his Indian Status Card which the american government wont accept as a legal ID (even though this same card allows him to work in the US with documention, nobody wants to hire him withhout a SS #) The Canadian government doesn't want to give us his documents b/c they think he is someone else trying to get false ID. Although none of these documents are needed in Canada, I need this information here to even get them health care. We are getting so frustrated with this that we are looking at moving back to Canada. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My boss asked me what medications I was taking and accused me of being on drugs today amidst a myriad of other things that weren't true. I don't do drugs and told her I"d take a drug test! She forced me to tell her what prescriptions I am taking and then late in the conversation asked me to take a forced involuntary leave of absence! (unpaid) I am going through a rough divorce and have been very emotional (teary eyed) but not high on drugs! I admitted to her being prescribed an antidepressant recently and she kept insisting that I was taking others & that I tell her what else I may or may not be taking by a doctor's direction. Can she legally ask me? She pressured me into telling her what I did with intimidation & fear of losing my employment. I'm already emotional over losing my spouse and now my job!?! She didn't "directly" fire me only asked me to leave after I didn't answer any further. Washington state.

I just did a search of the sexual offenders in my area. There are 7 within a mile of my sons elementary school which is only a mile from our house. There is also one living across the street from his father's apt which is halfway between here and the school. The apts across the street are managed by the same realtor and we were told you could not have felony charged in order to get your application approved.

My point is why are they allowing a sex offender to live there. I can't believe there are that many around us. The worst part is I would always see this wierd looking guy hanging around the school when I would drive by. I always paid attention to what he looked like "just in case"...well, guess whose picture I see on the offenders list. He lives within a quick walk of the school... Why cant they pass a law about people living near schools? Why is this something that even has to be passed? Sickos.

Paula Patient doesn’t want her violent boyfriend to know she’s getting an abortion, so she asks Dr. Bob to send all communications to her post office box and to phone her only at work. What should Dr. Bob do, and what is the legal basis for your advice? If she tells Dr. Bob that not doing this will endanger her, would your answer be different?

hi i got pulled over this evening 9:15pm because i failed to give way to a cop who had right of way. i was travelling south to north and stopped at the stop sign. however, i failed to see that the east-west had no stop sign. it was a very dark intersection and initially i thought the coast was clear. to make matters harder, the cop was driving very slowly without lights from west to east. by the time i saw him, i was already in the middle of the road and had to cross the intersection. true i failed to give the cop right of way, but it was dark and he was using predatory tactics by driving very slowly without headlights. my girlfriend was with me and she too remembers that the cop was driving without headlights. he only turned them on when he pulled me over. can i contest this and would i win?

I'm sick of always being the one who gets scammed on ebay, I mean I buy from sellers with good feedback, usually over 100 feedback all positive so you'd think I'd have no trouble we'll you'd be wrong. I've have been scammed 3 times since August last year. Last August I took out a loan for £500 to buy a PC, Bought one of ebay brand new from what looked like a business. Never arrived. They gave a tracking number but it wasn't the right one, either way I filed a dispute with Paypal and it went there way, I contacted Poilce etc who are useless, so I'm still repaying the £500 for something I dont have.Next up was a Sky satellite receiver for £50, just didnt arrive, but got my money back through Paypal.Next up a laptop, Cost £200 paid via cheque and it arrived. It died slightly over a week later and the seller has basically told me to get stuffed, scammed again!!, to save up that £200 took me half a year. Should I put it on ebay as working and let someone else get scammed for a change.

i was driving on the freeway and got pulled over. btw the 101 has cops all over the place. anyways, initially he pulled me over because i was speeding. but then he said he smelled weed in the car. the thing is i didnt smoke or anything. but he said he smelled it and i stupidly told him there was weed in the car. so he searched the car and found some in there. he gave me a sobriety test and i passed. the question is what happens now? i know i have a fine to pay and have to go to court but i was wondering if theres a way that i can have it not appear on my record. i have this thing where i cannot have a drug conviction on my record so im hoping theres a way to get it off your record?? the car i was driving wasnt mine so can i just say that i didnt know the weed was in there and it was not mine????

So a friend and I were joking around, and he came up with a "Top 10 reasons to date a gamer" list and wants to make it into a t-shirt.

In one of those reasons, he uses the phrase "Catch them all", and the way it is used is almost a pun(i think) on the popular Pokemon phrase "Gotta catch'em all!".

Now I said "isn't that trademark infridgement?" So I go on to www.uspto.gov to see if the phrase is indeed trademarked.

http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=rn21pj.3.1

The status says it's dead, but I'm not willing to bet on it's safe to use it. I'm sure if he used the word "Pokemon" he could get in trouble though.

My friend is only making the shirt for himself and someone else (not making profit), so he says he is fine. I tell him to wait and let's get some answers first.

So is this a (potential) case of trademark infringement?

At yearend 2005 there were 3,145 black male sentenced prison inmates per 100,000 black males in the United States, compared to 1,244 Hispanic male inmates per 100,000 Hispanic males and 471 white male inmates per 100,000 white males. I was wondering today what if in court cases we were able to hide the race of the deffendant/plaintiff.... make them were sleaved shirts, masks, and distort their voice. I know it sounds crazy, but do you think if we were to do this, the numbers above would change???
