Within the last year, I have gone to what I thought was the best permanent makeup technicians in the state of Texas. Unfortunately, it has turned out to be that they were the most dishonest individuals I have worked with thus far. It’s a shame that the ones that have become most famous and popular in this industry are essentially the ones that have become well known MAINLY because of their personalities and their means of manipulating their target market. I have had to learn this the hard way. I now live with rather botched corrective procedures that I didn't initially want. I was talked into getting them by my technicians that ensured me that the results would be beautiful. The results have been horrifying. So, I am wondering if anyone knows the laws in this industry, and if there is anything at this point that I can do receive even the smallest level of restitution?

Esthetic value is not judged by laws. What looks wonderful to one person can look horrid to another. I strongly suggest you obtain the opinions of several long standing cosmetic tattoo artists and go from there.

Permanent makeup is considered a form of tattooing in Texas, and is governed by those laws. As far as recovering for poorly performed procedures, you'd have to prove the person did not perform them in a correct and competent manner, and I'd recommend speaking with a lawyer to see if you have a cause of action.

Gather some recent photos (studio preferably) from before going to the permanent makeup technicians and go and have some photos made at a studio now.

Take these pictures to an attorney with the receipts from the permanent make up place and ask him if you have a case.
