As far as I know the U.S. Constitution nowhere calls for a 12 member jury panel or a 12-0 verdict by such a jury to convict in a criminal case. Is there or has there been any State that has convicted with another number say 11-1 or 10-2 or even a Criminal jury of less than 12. I already know the differences between Criminal and Civil juries so you need'nt inform me of that difference.

Organized crime doesn't kill innocent people. Usually the gangs involved only kill rival gangsters, business associates who don't pay up, etc. The violence never reaches the public, right?

Ok, I had no interest in this woman's life until recent bizarre events.

My question is, how could an appellate judge have legally ruled in her favor when Marshall's will did not include her? The man must have known her greedy intentions but knew he had little time left, so he would have amended his will if he wanted to include her, right? She probably had a trust fund anyway that would have taken care of her for the rest of her life.

Also, how would Dannielynn have a stake in his money when her mother is dead? Wouldn't the lawsuit end at her death since she never had a child by Marshall? I know she's represented by an "estate" but come on!

I find it hard to think grown men ages 27 & 33 would do something this foolish. Do you think they will get jail time for this?:

In an incident that at first left police incredulous, two men were charged Thursday in Southington with shooting a man in the leg with a blowgun. Police said the man was shot as he walked out of a store on Queen Street.

The man was one of three people shot apparently at random in the space of half an hour Thursday in Plainville and Southington. In all three cases, the attackers drove past their victim as they fired, police said.

Arrested were Jason Plourde, 27, of Waterbury, and Edward Youle, 33, of Southington. Police said they found three blowguns and a box of darts in their sport-utility vehicle.

"They thought it was funny," Southington Police spokesman Sgt. Lowell DePalma said.

No one was seriously hurt, but one of the victims in Plainville went to the hospital to get a tetanus shot, said Plainville police Lt. Brian Mullins.

The attacks occurred on busy stretches of road, and the two in Plainville occurred less than half a mile apart.

The first incident occurred at the Connecticut Commons shopping complex on New Britain Avenue in Plainville, where a man walking out of a store was shot in the leg.

The man, Jason Warner of Bristol, said he felt as if he had been hit by a paintball. "I thought I would just wipe off the paint, but then I looked down and saw the needle sticking out.

"I had seen blowgun darts before and knew what it was, but I was still shocked. I thought, `That's interesting,' and then yanked it out."

A few minutes later, a woman pumping gas at a service station a short distance from the shopping center was hit in the back.

should I be specific with dates of fees having been paid, court dates, phone calls made and not responded to, etc. And if it goes so far as to file a grievance and ask for a new attorney to handle my case, will I have to pay their fee as well? Should I proceed with filling out the grievance investigation form, or just write the letter and wait 10 days to see what her actions will be first?

My fiance and I were broadsided as we were turning left on a yellow light. The man that hit us was traveling at approx. 70-80 mph. I noticed him at about 5-6 car lengths back and he covered the space in about 1-2 seconds.
To make things even more difficult, we have been struggling financially, and had let our insurance lapse. There are many more details to explain it much better.
We need to get an attorney very badly!! We have tried calling several , but no one wants to take the case.
PLEASE HELP!!!!

I paid $3500.00 to an attorney in Michigan to represent me in a child support matter. I live in Arkansas. My attorney appeared in court one time, in September. At that time, the motion she filed has been lost, the courts claim she never presented an order for the judge to sign, she claims that she did and the courts lost it. Nevertheless, now my case is at a stand still. When I call, if she answers, she never gives me a direct answer as to what she intends to do, or when she intends to follow up on it, or she doesn't answer, I get her voicemail, she never calls back. I have sent her e-mails, she doesn't answer. I have over $11000.00 at stake here, and future support obligations pending for my two children. What should I do, how should I handle this now to get her to finish what she started?
