Ask the judge for a retrial and get a new lawyer, unless you won. You should be able to get your money back if your lawyer was incompetent to represent you.

Email me via my profile. I used to work as an assistant and investigator to criminal defense attorneys. Describe in more detail what you mean by a nervous break down. Did your attorney get mental health services?
I can probably answer your question if I have more info.

I would be a little nervous and leary of him representing me. I wouldnt condemn him for it yet until you confront him about it and get the details and specifics.

I'd find a new lawyer.
Oh wait--I wouldn't HAVE to......I don't break the law, so I don't have to worry about a trial.
