ok here my story goes...my husband who i have been with forever. has a child from a previous relationship, and has never seen his child, due to the mother...my husband and I have been to court for visitation and court said no visitation, but pay support, the mother waited 4 years to get DNA done and said her son had emotional problems and that was why the judge said we could not be in his life, but we have paid child support for the last 6 years and had to pay the for also the first 4 we did know he was my hubbys. Now we are sick of fighting the system so we want to sever my husbands rights? does anyone know if this can be done? just tired of all the bulls****.

Ok fellas, i need your help. I am a British Citizen, I just married my American boyfriend. We are planning on going through the immigration process soon. I would like to know if an American with a felony record can file for immigration benefits for a "clean" immigrant spouse.

my friend is going to be sued by her former landlord for 2000 dollars, odds are she will lose. She doesn't have the money to pay if (when) she loses. Do they set up payments, if you don't pay do they put you in jail? Any websites or information would be helpful!

while car shopping online i found this 2003 Audi tt being offered by $1,600.00 looks like the dealership made a typo or they are falsely advertising this vehicle. now i would like to purchase the car for the price advertised but I'm scared they wont honor it.
will i be able to legally purchase the car for the price they are advertising? and if they don't honor it can i take it to court and realistically win? thanks!

I know that federal housing discrimination laws prevent age discrimination and family status discrimination for most housing matters -- such as home buying, apartment rental, etc. But in a co-op building, where you don't really own any real estate but only a share of the co-op corporation, would it be legal for the co-op to decide to allow only residents over 30 years old, or only people without children?

Currently, if an immigrant legally moves to America and adopts and believes in American values, and is proud of America and loves living there, would they be considered American, no matter where they are from?

Is being AMERICAN something you have to be born into, or is living in America and believing in American values enough to be American in the eyes of other Americans - no matter where you were born?

I am a Canadian and I know this applies with Canadians who come to Canada and believe in our system. If they believe in Canadian values and love being in Canada, than I believe they are Canadian.

With a much more defined identity, I am interested to see what Americans feel.

It occurs to me that the people likeliest to try to wangle their way out of Jury Service are going to be those who are hit hardest in the pocket - namely, primary earners. We see juries across the world populated mostly by the demographic that is most habituated to the lowly compensation that Jury duty offers - namely, housewives, students and the unemployed. How are (or could?) we ensure that we have a representative number of primary breadwinners on juries WITHOUT harming the companies who value their work so much as to pay these higher salaries??

Thanks,

Jaybee.

states laws we have in place. I think they should. I think that 16 and 17 year olds shouldn't be having sex. Some states even have "14 if the guy is under 21" laws!. That's just insane. and sometimes because of all these confusing laws that vary from state to state people unknowingly get in trouble. So why don't they just make it a federal law that's easy to understand and make the age of consent 18, period?

when I was putting them away in my fridge, I noticed that one of the bottles had somthing black floating at the bottom of it. From the way it looked, it could have been seeds from something kind of fruit like a kiwi or even a blackberry, don't really know. My question is should I take any action. I talked to a few of my co-workers, and they said that I should call Snapple about it, but also I should have an attorney just in case they try and give me the run-around.

Should I go as far to alert the media? And trust me, if I did, this would not be one of those cases that turned out bogus in the end, I'm a honest woman. The bottle didn't seem like it was a tampered with, the box wasn't open at all, so it came from the plant like this. And the level of juice is the same as the others. Please you guys, help me on this.

I had a contract with builders(the first company) and in it was an oral contract to add a shower in my house. They hired another set of builders (the second company) to add the shower. However, after fitting it one of the builders from the previous builders left tap running and the whole place flooded. Now, it has come to light that this builder was actually working for the second company on that day. I had no contract or dealing with the second company. So who do i sue (who is liabile)?? The first company i had the contract with or this second company. Obviously I wouldn't be able to sue the second company under contract if they were liable, as there was no contract made between myself and them. Any help would be great thanks!

Here's what I am curious about. How far back can employers go? I thought it was only 7 years? I know for some government jobs it is 10. But since most companies use a screening service, how far back can they legally go? Do these services report anything over 7 years?
Any help on this would be great.

my boyfriend just signed the papers to start paying child support. the payments are supposed to start on march 1st (he signed the papers at the prosecuting attorney's office in mid feb.) and his ex called him (at work!) telling him that he needed to do something or there is going to be a warrant for his arrest because she hadn't gotten a check from the state yet. i guess she expected to have the money in her hands promptly on the first of the month. we weren't aware that he process takes so long. how long does the process usually take? i'm in michigan and i know this state does favor the mother but can he really get arrested for this? is there something he needs to do or does she just have to wait until they get all the paperwork in order? i have a feeling she's not gonna let up until she gets that money and it's really upsetting when she calls him at work saying he's gonna get arrested. what do we need to tell her so she'll back off? btw, she's a flippin idiot. (obviously).

First of all I have no job, I'm 18, I'm -300 in the bank, I got a speeding ticket which I haven't figured out how much is, becuase I havent called the court yet.

This is my problem, even if I got a part time job, I couldn't pay the bank & speeding ticket within a month. Also, my parents won't help(which they shouldn't) because they are having problems just paying the bills

i have privately sold a caravan it was sold with no guarantee's the buyers were informed that we had ownly owned it for a short period of time and although everything looks and works fine we couldnt be 100% sure of its condition, basically we bought it to use but have since buying it have had no choice but to move house so therefore needed the cash tied up in it so reluctantly advertised it.
the buyers were made fully aware that it had not been serviced since we owned it, they came and looked at it liked it negiotiated £100 off the asking price and took it away.
today a week on i receive numerous late night phonecalls from them requesting a refund as they have had it serviced and are not happy with the outcome, threatening legal action.
i am not prepared to refund it was sold as seen as far as im concerned they knew it had not been serviced they chose to buy it we did not force them to, there wasnt even a receipt given and they short changed us by £60 but where do i stand legally

Apparently the FBI had been misusing power extended to them under The Patriot Act. They misrepresented those facts to Congress, but people are saying no crime has been committed. What should we the people do about this?
