...undue influence. To allow a contract to be set aside on these bases would be to fail to deal with commercial realities. However, in extreme cases the courts can intervene, though the principles on which they can do so have not always been clearly laid down. Discuss.

If your pa/pro is revoked and the state sentenced you to 3 in and 3 out, how is it that your able to appeal that decision while not incarcerated. You have an open case that hasn't been concluded but your revoked already. Is the state waiting for the conclusion of the open case or what? I always thought that if a person went to a revocation hearing and was revoked, that they would immediately be placed in custody. Am I wrong on that thought? Or could it be that the courts and state are giving you enough time to get your affairs in order before you go in?

Suppose a teacher works for a non-profit private school. There is a day with truly horrific weather, in which every other local public and private school daycare, and major business closes. While snow days are hardly uncommon in the region (Maine), this one is literally a blizzard and even places that rarely close end up doing so. The teacher's employer, however, refuses to close school for the day.

If the teacher is involved in an accident while trying to get to work in inclement weather - on a day when it would have been reasonable and prudent to close school - is that grounds for a lawsuit?

This is based on a real situation in which the employer thinks he is doing something "nice" for the parents of the students. (It's not about money; parents have to pay even for snow days.)

MY DAD, SUPPOSABLY DIDNT HAVE A WILL SO WE DIDNT GET ANYTHING FROM HIM. MY MOM HAD A WILL BUT IT WAS VERY GENERAL &GAVE EVERYTHING TO MY STEPFATHER, i was a lil upset. WELL NOW HE IS CHANGING HIS WILL AND IM SCARED THAT HE WILL LEAVE MY BRO AND I OUT IN THE COLD. HE IS LIVING IN THE HOUSE MY MOM AND DAD BOUGHT, AND HE HASNT GIVEN ME MY MOMS CHINA OR LENNOX. WHAT CONCERNS ME IS THAT I AM GETTING MARRIED, AND HE NEVER OFFERED TO HELP WITH IT, SO I ASKED, HE SAID HE WOULD GIVE ME 2000, THAT DOESNT EVEN COVER FLOWERS. SO IT MAKES ME WORRIED HOW HE WILL TREAT US IN HIS WILL IF HE WONT EVEN HELP ME IN MY WEDDING.
I DONT KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN.WHAT A MESS MY PARENTS LEFT ME.ALL I REALLY CARE ABOUT IS THE CHINA, BUT I KNOW THE HOUSE IS WORTH A BIT , &THAT WAS HERS FOR A LONG TIME, &WHERE MY BRO AND I GREW UP should that count for something??

My daughter got into some trouble as a teenager, had a party invited 8 people and 50 showed up. She blew a double o but got a Misdemeanor. Well of course no one will hire her. Is it worth it for her to go to college, or is finding a job after that going to be just as impossable?

I just got demoted today and I'm pretty upset because another coworker in my position did the SAME EXACT THING six months ago that I got in trouble for and he only got written up. Are there any laws that protect me from this kind of crap?

Well, maybe it's because Clinton was never charged with, much less convicted of, perjury. Furthermore, because his "misleading" testimony was not significant to the trial, the testimony was not, by law, perjurious. Add to that the fact that the deposition and related testimony resulted from a "set up" concocted by Ken Starr and fed to Paula Jones attorneys. What I really wonder is how many respondents to this question know the facts or can see beyond their biases.

I have an aunt who passed and she had no husband no children and was pretty well off. She had always told me since I was her only niece/nephew that everything was to be left to me. When she passed her sister and brothers started going through her house before she was taken off life support and they claimed they couldnt find the will. When I began to ask questions regarding the will they stated that my uncle who is a lawyer had written the will and he may have an unsigned copy. Since this they are now going to meet with an attorney and when I aksed about the will they told me they dont need one. They have all been very shady and keeping me out of what is going on. My aunt had only 4 family members left including me and I know that she would have left me nothing. What should I do? SHould I hire an attorney? Do I have a legal leg to stand on or am i just stuck with my family getting over on me and my aunts wishes.
