handguns a good thing? Are people of DC happy?

It was a good thing. The law abiding citizens can now start defending themselves. Or, if they are like me, it is no longer illegal to collect antique firearms. How can collecting antiques be illegal?

The DC rules were arguably stricter than the needed to be, and significantly stricter than any other US city other than Chicago.

The decision was well thought-out, and based on logical and sound reasoning. Granted, the DC Circuit reached a different outcome than ever other Federal Circuit (except the 5th), but the Supreme Court will eventually resolve that split.

I'm sure lots of people in the city were happy, except the city government, who has indicated they intend to appeal.
