It's probably "d.)" but I am sure that the word "must" is not in the law. It probably says "may" or "shall". In most states, the word "shall" has been interpreted by the courts to mean "may."

So the actual question probably relies on a false premise; that premise being that at least one of the choices is correct. There should probably be a "none of the above."

Even if one of them is written in the law the way you wrote it, there are very likely caveats and exceptions that follow that wording that you have not included.

Well, technically C is not correct. There is no requirement to prosecute "all" cases... only those the AG determines should be prosecuted. And I'm not sure if the AG handles all county matters. Check out N.R.S. 612.745 and N.R.S. 228.130

A might be true, if there is a specific state law that says so, but that would be an odd requirement. N.R.S. 228.010 sets forth the requirements for AG.

B would be true, because that's the primary function of the AG in any state.
