There is NO JUSTICE in letting a CHILD SEX OFFENDER out of prison! In fact they should hang the SOB that lets them out.
All child sex offenders deserve life with no parole and death penalitys.
THEY ALL SHOULD HAVE THEIR PENISES NAILED TO A TREE STUMP, SET ON FIRE WITH GAS AND HANDED A KNIFE ( A DULL KNIFE OR BUTTER KNIFE ) AND GIVE HIM THE OPT. OF BURNING IT OFF OR CUTTING IT OFF.
this is just the beginning.
and I think a murder is FAR more likely to be reformed, than a child rapist.

This is not a partisan issue. This has more to do with Mental Health Professionals believing they can treat and rehabilitate these people, and judges and prosecutors (who are already up against a wall with jail and prison overcrowding) actually buy into the hype, and enter into such things as "Special Sex Offender Sentencing Agreements" wherein the offender does 90-120 days in jail followed by 5-10 years of "supervised" probation (which is pretty much a joke). The reality (as is being borne out by habitual reoffenders) is that the criminals have learned not how to rehabilitate, but how to fool these "intelligent and educated" doctors and lawyers into believing that they have. They really learn what they did wrong that allowed them to get caught, so they won't make the same mistakes and be caught as easily the next time they offend. Somehow the doctors and lawyers fail to see how these people network together so that they can better avoid detection and arrest. Crimes against children should carry the stiffest penalties, and we should not have to wait for 3 strikes, as that means at least 3 too many children will have their lives turned upside down, and that's unacceptable.

There is no defending a child sex offender. And there is also no such thing as a rehabilitated child sex offender. This is a devieance caused by an internal need, and it has been proven that those who offend will have the "need" to offend again. Whether or not they act on these needs is up to the individual, but the chances are: if the person acted on it once, they will act on it again, be it with the downloading of pictures or engagind in the actual act. It is also common within these types of offenders to escalate in their degree of crimes. Mostly based on the premise of "in order to not return to jail, I must dispose of this person so that they cannot identify me."
Granted, while they are in jail they can be deemed at "model prisoners" and therefore be allowed parole. However, these offenders may seem rehabilitated while in jail, with the possiblity of molesting a child to get thier kicks being slim to none. But once released into the real world the desire to repeat offend is back in thier minds and is a possibility, and they are back to square one (and possibly more dangerous as described above).
Those who try to justify the release of these types of people, know nothing of the personality type that is attached to the type of person who carries out such a horrible crime.

Obviously, the people who wrote the sentencing laws can justify it. That's why the laws only allow for a specific sentence, rather than automatic life without parole.
If you want the laws changed, contact your state legislators. Or if your state allows, start a grass-roots petition for a voter referendum to create a new law that imposes the sentences you want.

Because many of the violent crimes (non-sexual in nature) would end up with LESS prison time than simple molestation ones. So you'd up with a child molester getting 50 years, & a child murderer- getting 30 !!! And if we "bumped up" ALL sentences -to fit tougher sex offender laws in- our jails would back up into the streets, & our taxes would go through the ROOF to pay for new ones! The REALITY is, sex crimes are BAD- but the victem usually survives. Violent crimes are bad- but the victem often doesn't. What's in YOUR wallet? :)

It is something I don't understand either! They will never change, they will only molest again. In the U.S. there are 602 thousand registered child sex offenders! What is going on here? They can't put them with the other prisoners because they might kill them! There is no justification for letting them loose, yet what are we to do with them? At this rate we are going to be inundated with them, what will we do then? There has to be another answer to how to stop them! What to do with them!

A dirty old men will always be a dirty old men.
Try and read Leviticus all the laws our creator left behind vital for the survival and advancement of living human kind in planet of apes.
Those laws does not change with time.
What we are using were ghostly constituition and ghoslty laws from the graveyards of ancestor's custom in making a monkey out of ourselves in planet of apes.
That explained why all those ghostly laws does not work in planet of apes.

Theres different reasons people get named "sex offender". It can involve someone who is nearly legal age, and someone whos barely past legal age. and in that case no they should not stay in prison(and in most cases to me shouldnt go in the first place)so it should be decided on a case by case basis. and believe me, i agree that anyone who does a real criminal act on a young child should be hung by thier balls while they are in prison for life -and i know its not only men. but at the same time, every human has rights, and if you really feel strongly about it, you should put yourself in the position to do something about it, get involved. just bitching and being pissed about it isnt going to change anything.

If you support that proposition why allow a rapist out, how about a murderer? Both of these crimes have very high rates of recidivism by the people who commit the crimes

How about a guy that is just 18 and his girlfriend was just under 18 and they got married a year later. Would you let him out? Under the law he is a sex offender.
