Do you think Libby will be creating some delicious recipes on TV in a few years too?

That'll be quite a "victory" for Dems

Let's see if even one Democrat isn't too retarded to realize that both were found guilty of lying during an investigation --- not of having committed a single crime before the investigation began.

When the government starts convicting people with bad memories, then you may have an oppressive government.

The charges were similar. Libby was convicted of perjury, lying to investigators (FBI), and obsctruction of justice. Stewart was charged with securities fraud and conspiracy, and convicted obstruction of justice and lying to investigators (SEC).

The normal sentence that Libby would get is 1 to 3 years. Stewart got just short of 3 years, including 5 months in prison and five months house arrest.

Libby was guilty of insider trading too?

Edit: Poor Libby...he just HAD to lie to the FBI while under oath in order to cover for his boss. He didn't do anything before he committed perjury and obstruction of justice? LOL So I guess the FBI should have given him a pass to lie to them, afterall, it's not like it's actually important to tell the truth during an investigation of outting a covert CIA operative in a time of war. Brilliant.

Depends. Does being an oily shyster of a lawyer (want to know who campaigned to Clinton to get Marc Rich pardoned? Yep, Libby!) make you qualified to create delicious recipes on TV? Probably not.
