what will that judge do in that case. Will he look over the case again take some thing in to consideration as to what he have charge that person with. is this a good thing or is it prolonging time.

Are you talking about a "motion for reconsideration of sentence"? That's a standard motion that anyone can file and the judge may just be reminding counsel of the deadline.

If you are talking about some other type of reconsideration, then I'm not familiar with it. Unless the court was using that term to indicate when defendant would be eligable for parole (eg: "25 years to life").

The problem with a life sentence is, the criminal will get out again. The only way to assure the criminal will stay incarcerated
is to sentence him to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
