I think 26 over the speed limit gets your license taken away. As it should. It's real dumb to go so fast on 400 (not an interstate) at night, in a construction zone.

They could suspend your license. Is this the first time you have had a driving offense on your record? They are supposed to be cracking down on speeding through construction zones in GA, slow down next time.

You admit to 93 in a 55 and now want a technicality to get you off the hook.
You're going to court on reckless driving. They can yank your license, fine you AND stick you in jail. You won't be paying this online, and if you bothered to read the citation, it probably tells you that an appearance is mandatory.
Good luck to you pal. You're going to need it.

I believe Georgia is still one of the few states that allows arrest and imprisonment for such offenses. At least it was the last time I got pulled over for speeding there (20 years ago).
If you can pay the ticket, do so.

if they didn't put your speed then it sounds like you may have to go to court and actually apear before a judge. I hope nobody was present when you went thru the construction zone to many people have died cause some idiot was speeding thru the area.

You do the crime, you do the time. That is considered wreckless driving. Yes, they can suspend your license or you could even be arrested and spend time in jail. It will be up to the judge to determine what your sentence will be.
Next time, SLOW DOWN.
