I have only just found out after she moved in that she is a convicted sex offender for sexual exploitation of a child. Her information on her paperwork was misleading, so out of curiousity I checked the WI registry for her and she was there. She is no longer under supervision but still must report her location to the registry.
I would like to know what her conviction means (sexual exploitation of a child) and since she was misleading on her application, do we have rights for eviction? I called the registry and made them aware of her new location, as she had not, and I know there are legal ramifications for not reporting a change in your residence. Will the law take care of her before I have to worry about it much longer? There are other children in our building, including my own and now I worry for their safety.

After scooter libby and the real president got caught leaking Mrs. Plame or whatever her name is because they were upset with her husband. But now we know that the white house pressured and fired federal prosacutors who would not prosacute cases that they wanted. (claims of democratic voter fraud) and by the way they also wanted to bypass the vetting process to appoint the replacement prosacutors, as low as it gets, but it gets lower they even lied to both houses about it. If I am not mistaken Bush appointed Gonzalez who became Bushe's puppet and now that he is caught he won't resign.

When Bush, Limbaugh, and Gingrich all dog piled Clinton over Monica and stated the white house was with out dignity and they wanted to restore honor to the office I think they all failed. If any thing with there big mouths and lies they effectivly painted the white house black. So consertives and moraly rightouse majority is George W. Bush still your hero, and would you still vote for him?

insurance companies screw us? The government says we have to have auto insurance and then lets the insurance companies screw us any way they can. I just got insurance through State Farm because they had the cheapest rates two weeks after I purchased the policy they sent me a new bill saying they took away my good driver discount because my dad had a claim 4 years ago. He didn't have an accident, they were at some animal park and an animal stuck it's head in the car and broke their windshield. Now because of that my rate went up even though my dad has nothing to do with my car or policy. I'm a good driver but I can't get the discount because of some stupid animal.

My 11 year old son was in gym class last week and the gym teacher forcefully grabbed him by the arms, picked him up about a foot off the ground and threw him down onto the gym floor...I had a meeting with the assistant principla and teacher the next day...the teacher admitted to what he had done and they hoped that I would "accept their apology. But teachers aren't allowed to touch students at all let alone in anger...so I said no it wasn't enough. I said that I at least wanted to make sure that the teacher was written up and that it be made part of his permanent record so that if it ever happens to another student then it's been noted. They said they would meet with the main principal and let me know what corrective action they decided to take..that was a week ago and they have failed to contact me...What should be my next step??? Do I try to hire an attorney? For the assault AND for the school not taking care of this in a timely fashion...

I was hired at a company but instructed that I could not drive the company cars nor my own car during work hours because I have had my license suspended in the past due to parking tickets (alot of them, a long time ago) My license is fine now. I have never had anything more than parking tix on my record. I want to apply for another job within the company but it would require driving. I am willing to drive my own car...for insurance purposes is there a waiver or something I can sign which would let me drive my own car on the job which would relieve them of any liablility should an accident occur?

When i was sitting in the room and the cop sited me an arrest, he told me I have a past conviction of Felony Theft, i guess it was because I ripped off the electric tag or something...

Anyways, what is going to happen to me?

This is my second offense, and I have a prior of I guess Felony Theft when i was a minor!?

Thanks to everyone who answered my 1 question but it seems there was some details missing that I forgot to mention. Now as everyone knows I want to give custody to my brother and mom because my oldest son wasn't doing well w/me, his grades where really bad to the point that he got placed in a special ed class, he would fight with his brothers often, things where just really bad. Well a little more than 2 years ago my brother and mom have been taking care of him. He is now doing great in school his attitude has changed completely. The reason I want to do this is because I know if I bring him back with us he will start acting up again. I have asked him if he wants to come back to the house and he has always replies no. His father not in the picture at all. I dont want to see my son end up as a failure I will first do what is best for him even though he will b w/some ellse. Does any one know a lawyer near LA CA who is affordable?also what does it mean to give power of attorney?

I have a friend who tried to open an account with paypal, but she was unable to do so because she has been suspended from them in the past for not paying. So she opened an account using her 10 year old daughter's name and information, I told her this was identity theft and she should close the account. She think it is ok because they will never find out, I think this is very wrong and iresponsible. Why ruin a poor child's credit.

So my question is.
Would this be considered theft and could she be setitng her self up to do some time in prison if caught?

The death penalty should only be for the worst of the worst. More times than not I am against the penalty when life without possibility of parole is an option. However to place a nine year old girl in a plastic bag and place her in a shallow grave alive, and leave the state to avoid capture ... he deserves to die as soon as possible. I realy don't want his blood on my hands but he needs to die and soon.

I just read this article and was completely apalled. Why are we still sending people to jail for a goddam plant? I have smoked pot everyday for the last 10 years. I have two college degrees in computers, a great job and have not been in trouble with the law since before I started smoking pot. How can a country with such wishy-washy morals criminalize people for smoking pot? When will we end this "war on drugs" that has obviously failed? We spend more money arresting, prosecuting and housing these so-called criminals than many countries make in a year. Legalize it, tax it and stop all the bullcrap.

I've never been in any kind of trouble with the law before but was recently pulled over after a happy hour with coworkers. Turns out the place we were at is used as a DUI camping ground by the local police. We were out of town on business and did not know this. Just as I was about to turn into our hotel parking lot (1 mile away from the sports bar we went to), I was pulled over. I easily passed all tests, however was still booked. At the station the officer kept saying BLOW HARDER BLOW BLOW!!! I recently found out this could yield false results with the Intoxylizer machine. It registered .11 yet I was as coherent as I am right now. The solicitor will not reduce the charge. My atty says if I don't like the plea, bind it over to jury trial which is much more money. There was no video so I have no way of proving my side, and the officer is lying in almost *every* sentence in the incident report. However, with the .11 I don't know if I have any chance at winning. Advice?
