If he's been smoking for years and years and made it to 96, you don't have much of a leg to stand on when it comes to telling him what's bad for him. He'll have a better chance of making it to 97 if you leave him alone about the smokes than if you bug him about quitting.

hey, if the person is 96 anything might be the cause of death.keep on smoking because of death will probally just be old age.

of course it's alright to tell that person that smoking is going to kill them some day. whether or not their 96 year old ears will hear you is another issue....

If someone is lucky enough to be alive at that age he/she should beable to do whatever they want since they are going to die very soon anyway. If I'm alive then and dieing anyway forget the cigarettes I'm going for the crackpipe!
