My son (he is 2 years old) was at the day care and this girl, which is older and bigger than him tried to take the toy he was playing with. They started fighting over it and my son bit her and broke the skin.

I was very upset at my son that he did that because isn't a behaviour we encourage and he was disciplined.

I asked the Day care teacher where were they when this happened but they said they didn't have enough time to separate them.

Now the parents want us to pay for the Dr bills because they took her to the dr. The girl is ok and didn't even need tetanus shot.

Am I by law required to pay this bill?

Ok, so they said on the phone, if your account has a minimum of say £40 as a required payment to be on a "reduced payment plan", but say then a debt management company that works out a pro rata offer for all your creditors in the same way that the court does, decides you can only pay £20 per month. They make you pay an extra £20 quid on top of that in order to stay interest free.

Isn't that really immoral?

Would it be better to get CCJ'd by them? How do you get them to do it?

Embattled Attorney General Alberto Gonzales said Wednesday it's up to President Bush whether he remains in the administration and said he wants to stay and explain to Congress the circumstances surrounding the firings of eight U.S. attorneys.

Amid an escalating political row and calls from some Democrats for his resignation, Gonzales said, "I work for the American people and serve at the pleasure of the president."

"I think you can look at the record of the department in terms of what we've done ... going after child predators, public corruption cases," he said on NBC's "Today" show. "I think our record is outstanding."

Critics charge that the prosecutors were ousted because of political considerations.

Gonzales acknowledged, as he had on Tuesday, that mistakes were made in the handling of the U.S. attorney firings and said he wanted to remain in the job to make things right with Congress.

This girl he was dating gave her a picture of herself of her own free will. My dad scanned it for safe keeping on our home computer. When she found out she was furious, broke off the relationship and is now suing my dad for the pictures. Does this case have any ground or will it be thrown out of court?

A year ago I was assaulted by two blacks w/ baseball bats.In defence I pulled a knife and stabbed them back.I was booked on charges of 1st degree assault.I represented myself in court & was proudly vindicated by a verdict of NOT GUILTY by reason of self defence.I now want my knife BACK.I've had it for years & it has alot of sentimental value to me.I know I have a right as an American to get my propery back,or be reimbursed for it yet the police & DA's office are giving me alot of crap.(no doubt pissed off about having to accomodate the likes of me)So I will have to grab the Bull by the horns and fight for whats legaly mine.My question is if anyone has a link to the CASE LAW,or LEGAL INSTRUCTIONS concerning a citizens right to re-possess his property from the police dept. after being found not guilty of any crime.

I work for a small business. They make about 10million a year but the owners are fairly new with running the business and often they make rules that I'm not sure are fair or even legal. It seems as though they are only interested in the bottom line and make decisions accordingly. Ex. I am an hourly employee and was asked to travel with a team to a state 800 miles away and was only paid for the time I was actually driving. Also I often have to drive to different places to buy supplies and they reimburse mileage at the IRS rate but don't pay my drive time. Are these practices normal?

One argument people on the man made global warming side use is that people that are against it are paid by Oil companies. Why do they always forget to mention all the funding that governments give to THEIR side. There is much more money to be made by government if they get to legislate the huge CO2 legislation they want to get passed.

Big government is JUST as evil as big business.. why do the Global Warming folk not be more fair handed about it?

A well known restaurant in NW DC called Lorial Plaza had it's liquor license suspended for selling liquor to a minor for two days. During day one of the suspension, so many customers walked out that the restaurant gave out coupons for free margaritas for use on another day. This seems like a violation of the suspension to me. Does anyone have know of any clarification on this law. I would love to see links if available.

What are my rights regarding blocking in a vehicle that has parked on my private land without permission? I am not looking to demand payment for release (I know I would need a license for that).

it is a small private driveway, in london, which I need to use since the area is residents parking only, and I already have another vehicle on the street using the one resident's permit I'm allowed, therefor the only alternate to blocking the offending vehicle in would be for me to pay to park my car on a local car park.

I would be planning to leave a note on the offending vehicle explaining that they can retrieve their vehicle the next day when I have left for work..

My husband's aunt dies. A sister to his mom at the age of 94. All sisters and brothers are deceased except my husbands mom. I realize that without a will which we cannot find, her sister or brothers kids get their mom or dad's part. There are 2 nephews living. ALSO THERE IS A SON OF A NIECE LIVING BUT HIS MOM (THE NIECE IS NOT)-IS HE ENTITLED ALSO? We are trying to find the cheapest way out...but if we have to hire a lawyer we will. I think we have to get a right of heirship to sell the house. Her home is appraised at 80,000 and she has contents that we are going to spli up between us all in a fir way. Her husband is dead and they had no children or no children from previous marriages. So all that is left is what I stated above. The sister, two nephews and a nieces son but the niece is dead. We will be looking for Texas laws on this...Thanks, I need help and so far all of you have been so helpful. Please see if this gives you a little more to go on.

In a small claims dispute in DC you meet and then the case is delayed for a month for each side to seek legal advice. Then you write the person a letter suggesting a settlement. Is this wrong? If so, what could the possible repercussions be?

be reformed...

be repealed...

or stay as it is...

or do you actually know enough about (like seemingly most of the government) it to even know what is going on with it...
