Typically some one (an employer) can not be held liable for the criminal acts of others. There are probably exceptions and there may be exceptions where employers are concerned, but that is the general rule.

Unfortunely, only worker's comp. But, you can sue him (class action with all the employees) for it , but, you won't win unless there is a policy indicating security must be on site.
