My son is in Kilby, A Prison in Alabama. He had a court appointed attorney. This attorney wont take any calls from him. Nor will he talk to me. He goes to cussing and hangs the phone up on me. All I do is ask a question and Ive been shock at his behavior!
My son has been in jail, sentence, under another name. In fact I cant even send him mail in his own name. They even changed his AIS Number. What Im asking is there something to be done? I dont have the money for attorney. Im at a loss at what can be done.
Is there someone to call? If not how do I get this other attorney to set this record strait.

Think about it; our economy would probably rise because we have something else bringing in employment. Less people would be on welfare because this is a career many of these people could have. I'm saying if we legalize and regulate prostitutuion, more people could have a job.

I have been watching and reading questions in various sections on here and so many people seem to be jumping onto a bandwagon, claiming their human rights are being abused, how many of them have actually looked up the Human Rights Acts to begin with, It makes me so angry when they trivialise the acts by brandishing so called abuses on here!
How many of you have actually looked them up, studied them, read them and understood them ??

For the record I have, and I currently have three cases against Spain lodged with Brussels and am preparing two more, so I do know what I am talking about!

why is it that guys and girls in the streets get arrested for prostitution and no one gets arrested when online they offer sexual pleasures? Example. Craigslist on the EXOTICS page, men and women are offering sex for money. Isn't that considered prostitution?

Several media shows have provided good promise for the use of MRI for truth, and lied detection. Why do we see so little evidence of any attempts to develop this technology? For complex cases like any murder case [ e.g. Laci Peterson case] it promises far simpler solutions than the ones in present use.

I have a real problem with the kids who use the park behind me. They keep climbing the wall and kicking their footballs over several times a day. They've knocked my two year old son off his slide, ruined plants, and covered my washing in mud from their footballs. But when I ask them to stop they get cheeky and answer me back. The parents never supervise them, and when I complain about it they take no notice. Some of these kids are as young as 3 or as old as 21. The park has a sign stating that it is for supervised under 14's only, and ball games are not allowed (because houses surround it on all sides). I wouldn't be bothered if it was the only place they could play football safely, but there's a football club and large park just a few minutes walk away (4 pitches that barely get used for some odd reason)! My son and I were poorly for 3 months and the kids were constantly staring at us through the windows, climbing over to collect their balls and knocking for stuff they'd thrown over!

I was involved in a rear-end accident and I had to go to court on 3/16 because the woman that hit me wanted to fight her ticket (points). She got her fine reduced and she still has the points. She has since appealed this decision and I have now been supoenaed again to a Formal Hearing this time. Do I need to be represented by an attorney? What happens at this hearing?

Whiles leaving tesco's supermarket 2day my mum was stopped and her bags where searched. 1 security guard was infront of her trolly and the other 1 at her side. They searched her bags and check her receipt and found she had payed for all her goods. They done this infront of everyone coming in and out of the store. When they found she had payed for everything they said that the thought that the Girl serving her had not charged her for all her shoppin. My mum was very upset by this and even had to get a stranger to drive her car home. Does anyone know if this is illegal or have an advice . She has made a complaint to the store and they have apologised and said it should never have happened.

Some people evidently have demanded that the state of Georgia issue an apology for slavery. Why? It isn't the case that any law makers today took part in keeping slaves, obviously, so why exactly do people think that an apology will make any difference? I just find this absolutely ridiculous and a waste of time when legislators could be addressing more serious issues than slavery, considering it hasn't existed in our lifetimes.

My cousin was arrested for being an accomplice to theft. He was charged with a felony crime. Instead of bail or staying in county lock up, he was let go on O.R. (own recognizance). He has a trial date for early April for arraignment. At this trial, will he do jail time when sentenced? I ask this because he has already been in front of the judge a second time and the judge said the case was dismissed, or at least that's what my cousin was to believe. If in fact it wasn't dismissed, does any one have any legal advice they could give to pass along that I may share with my cousin?

Last November I sold a short story to an online fiction magazine. The story was published in their Fall/ Winter issue. They sent me a contract, which I signed, and sent back to them. I never received the payment that was promised. I emailed them about the status of my payment and they wrote back and never even addressed the fact that I hadn't been paid. They simply said that the magazine was closing down, thanks for my business, et cetera. However, the contract was signed and the story was published in their last issue. Have they or haven't they behaved truthfully and what should I do?

First the mother blames the dog for what happened even though the child was her responsibility but she decided to get drugged up. Secondly, she was addicted to legal drugs and illegal ones too.

Not taking responsibility and being addicted to illegal and legal drugs and also being allowed to care for a child under that state, what is wrong with this picture?

My local hospital has banned smoking even in its grounds now. A nurse was murdered in East Anglia due to the fact that she had to smoke outside the relative safety of her hospital grounds. Lung cancer through 'passive smoking' seems to be some kind of convenient medical excuse despite the fact we have to inhale carbon monoxide and diesel fumes from cars. Finally, the people voted as numbers one and two greatest Britons of all time were Winston Churchill and Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Undoubtedly smokers! Adolf Hitler, however, was a rabid anti-smoker. When you think of the way anti-smokers act or speak towards smokers, don't you sometimes think that Hitler may have succeeded in a small way somewhere along the line. (Great! Hitler's just committed suicide! I'm gasping! We can have our final *** in the bunker now!)

http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/crimoff.htm#sex

This link, which is BJS (the official Bureau of Justice Statistical site) says that sex offenders only have a 5.3% (EXTREMELY LOW) rate of recidivism. Now, that is factoring in all the sex offense statistics.

This is a cut and paste from that site - "Sex offenders were less likely than non-sex offenders to be rearrested for any offense"

This site gives a lot of facts that can be looked up and compared with actual statistics from the Bureau of Prisons.

-OR -

Do we go by sites like this:

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/71876/recidivism_among_sex_offenders.html

which is a site that says sex offenders have an EXTREMELY high rate of recidivism.

This site is at best a glorified BLOG - someones opinion. They give a lot of "facts" without supporting them.

my husband was a over the road truck driver and died from a heart attach in another state. He didn't Pass in the truck but called 911 for help to be checked out.I believe from his phone records he was trying to get out from under the load but they told him to keep going with it. They have been known to do that in the past.
