First the mother blames the dog for what happened even though the child was her responsibility but she decided to get drugged up. Secondly, she was addicted to legal drugs and illegal ones too.

Not taking responsibility and being addicted to illegal and legal drugs and also being allowed to care for a child under that state, what is wrong with this picture?

Yet another example of what happens when we demand that the govt make all decisions for everyone.

The lack of personal responsibility in this country is a direct consequence of expecting the govt to do everything. We don't expect people to make decisions for ourselves anymore. We expect the govt to make the decisions, and tell everyone what to do like children. So, people stop learning how to function as adults.

We need to get back to the point where we make our own decisions, and not expect the govt to do everything for us.

Whats wrong with America is people butting into other peoples business. Too many laws, too many enforcers. Too many of us in jail.
As far as drugs are concerned, they're legal till the govt makes them illegal, and jails people for it. Children ain't stupid and they stay away from dangerous adults, as a rule. The CPS should stand down until called. If obvious danger exists to a child, yeah , then move, but don't destroy the whole family, when just a tweaking of the situation is needed. These people who live in the USA are not saints and are far from it. Get used to it.

One of the first problems with america not really pretaining to what u said but, presidents have a $500,000,000 campain that lasts very long where as in other european countries the campain is very short, some only two weeks, these are also very cheat.
Presidents should spend their time with the poor, homless, and problemed people of society not the rich

Um...this isn't about the woman not taking responsibility for her dog. I don't think the dog did it...I think she did it in her drug-induced stupor. But yes, it's a good example of problems in America.

That one I don't know if it is entirely American - we can be blamed for a lot of things - but stupidity and irresponsibility are universal...
