then you really better be very strongly against the war in Iraq. Otherwise, you're just a racist HYPOCRITE who supports the murder of innocent children...just so long as they are Iraqi children.

or do you think it's OK to kill innocent children if you claim to have a good reason, or if it makes someone else's life better, or more convenenient? because if you do...you have to be pro choice, don't you?

I want to create a video program that will contain a recitation of text that may have a copyright.

Can I incorporate the recitation of the text in a video product that I sell? Do I need to recognize the source? Or by changing the format of the delivery of the text is it a sufficient change that it would be unique for me? Or would I be infringing on someone else's copyright?

Every two years an A-1 felon is eligible for parole, but everytime he goes before the board he is denied for ridiculous reasons such as: the nature of the instant offense, this is something that can never change. This is the reason he was originally sentenced yet they can continue to deny him for reasons such as this. WHY????

I won a case in family court in the state of South Carolina. The defendant was ordered to pay me back over $5000 in attorney's fees beginning December 1, 2006. I haven't seen a dime yet. The defendant lives in Illinois. How can I enforce this order without having to incur a lot more in legal fees?

Can I get his wages garnished? Can I take out a lien on his property? I'm wiling to spend a couple hundred bucks in administrative stuff, but not willing to shell out in the thousands just to get $5000 back.

Also - if he is more than 10 days late, he is supposed to pay me back at an accellerated rate, but the court order doesn't specify what the accellerated rate it.

Any ideas? Thanks!

This is a question not framed in a hostile way.
I dont have a problem with Gay marraige,In fact I propose that Gay scociety should create a ceremony of thier own, and it should be recognized by States and Federal Laws applicable to any Legal marraige.
I do have a problem with bringing God and churches into the fabric of the ceremony.Especially when the Institution of Marraige , reguarded ,and set forth by God, clearly states, that this kind of union, is an abomination to Him.
Help me understand, in a non-hostile way, how the Gay society can not understand the non- gay public views on this?

According to an eviction notice, the amount my landlord's attorney said I owed was $1895.00. That included the back rent, attorney's fees and court costs.

While at court their attorney wrote up an agreement in front of me that we both agreed to and signed. According to that agreement the total owed to the landlord was $1662.00 not $1895.00. A difference of $233.00.

Today I look again at that agreement. I was to make $200 weekly payments towards the judgment for seven weeks straight. But here's the problem, 7 x 200 is $1400, not $1662. Okay so it appears the attorney made a mistake with his math. There should have been one final payment of $262.I honestly didn't notice the error till today.

According to the state of PA "Judgments by Agreement" are binding and cannot be appealed. My question is can the attorney come after me for a mathematical error he made? Would I still be responsible for that final payment of $262?

I purchased a new truck under a Ford employee purchase program. I gave the dealer the pin # for my discount. I have taken delivery of the truck and have signed all documents required for the purchase. now two days later, dealership claims they made a mistake and gave me the wrong discount and says I need to sign new purchase contract or bring in $1,181.00 for the difference. Is my obligation over and they just need to eat the loss?

I witnessed (sole witness) a car accident involving a nice well-mannered person and a nasty mean person who is also some big city official. I think the good guy was at fault. However, I told the cops that I am not going to say anything and they can all go to hell. Can they legally make me speak? Because if they do I am going to say it is the nasty guy's fault...

Was i doing anything illegal?- if i deny responsibility what will happen?

I am asking this on behalf of a friend of mine. He inherited together with his brother land, which is owned 50/50. He decided to convert an existing workshop into his business, with the ok of his brother, however, he is being bullied by his family now and can't make any decisions at all, not even about whether he can plant a hedge there and he is now not even allowed to let his dog on the land. His brother also insists on a share of the profit he makes from his business. My friend is now close to a nervous breakdown, as he has no freedom at all and even can't remove rubbish out of the workshop to continue building. Both brothers also inherited another piece of land and the grandmother's house, also 50/50 each. He is willing to give the shares of both places over to his brother if he in turn can have 100% of the land he is building on.
What are his options to end this terrible situation? His brother is not willing to agree to any deal, and my friend fears that he will never be free.

Is it just alcohol, or can people have their license suspended for illegal drugs, or abusing prescription drugs behind the wheel?

From what I know, it always seems to be alcohol related, and I don't think it's fair if someone is barely over the legal limit and very slightly drunk compared to someone snorting crack or heroin, or heavily sedated, even if prescribed.

What do you all know/ think?

I have a close friend. This friend has a girlfriend. He has told me many times that his girlfriend is sexually harrased at her workplace. Not only her, but all of her co-workers (who are all women) are too. She doesn't wish to report it because the boss is the owner of the company. She feels that if she reports it, she will probably loose her job. Is there anything that I can do?

How did that pass and why do people tolerate it?

(I see lots of questions about it, but I don't know much about it as it's a totally foreign concept here in the US>)

This is a serious question. I am not an anarchist, and I am not a scofflaw. I am merely bringing up a point about laws and human nature.

If it weren't for fear of punishment, would the authorities have anywhere near the power they have now?

And if it weren't for sympathy for another being, what would stop me from committing murder?

Ok so we go to work, pay our taxes and national insurance. Our taxes pay for other people to not have to go to work at all, they pay for their dental care ( uk) they get free college courses if they are on benifits, free housing, free this -that and the other... i pay my national insurance and because I have a job i also have to pay for my own dentist bills.
I understand we need to pay tax other wise there would be a huge rise in crime...but i think they get too much and we get nothing. I don't take anything from the government but i get no reward for doing so, any savings i have when I die will be highly taxed, why should they be when i already payed tax on it? I should be able to leave it to who ever i want tax free.
It just annoys me- what do you think is a better solution to it all?
I think there are a lot of people who could work and should be forced to and the money can be used to better support those who desperately need it.
what do you think?

with all the overcrowding in prisons, and the repeat offenders, who most of which arent violent, and the cost of maintaining the prisons and inmates, why not legalize it and give our country a rest on the wars, eh? and not even speaking about the governent controlling our bodies (im reminded of the roe vs wade argument) whats your opinion?
