Recently I recieved this letter with a check and yes I cashed it and sent the money they wanted but western union called me and told me to get the back so I did and I put it back in my account and told the bank manager she told me it was a scam. The next couple of days later the check came back nothing happened because I put the money back in. I was safe. Thanks to all the answers that I had read from the site. Thanks for all your answers. And to anyone that gets this letter and check don't do anything I have learned not to do that again. I am just glad that it is all over with and nothing happened to my accout and me. Thanks again

I got one of these. But the check happened to be 'issued' by my bank and it was on the wrong color background. I took it into the bank and they checked it out. It was a very good copy, in fact exact, except for that error in the color. It wasn't even a genuine check issued by the bank.

But this is very convincing and I can see people falling for it.
